Benign Tumors
Question:
My 10-year-old female beagle, who is in good health, has been prone to benign
tumors her entire life. Once she had a malignant tumor in her mouth which was treated.
Is there anything that might prevent her system from producing these? I am looking
into purchasing your antioxidant tablets. Thank you.
Answer:
For benign tumors I would suggest you evaluate her diet and supplement with antioxidants.
The first thing to address is diet. Nutrition is the cornerstone of health, so the
better the diet, the better equipped the dog’s system is to resist disease and chronic
health conditions. You may find the article "What
You Need to Know About Your Pet’s Food" helpful.
In addition to the best possible diet, giving her a good antioxidant supplement
can help strengthen her immune system and improve skin health as well.
Vetri-Science Antiox (which is Grape Seed Extract only) is a good choice.
You also might want to consult with a holistic veterinarian in your area.
Here is a link to the
American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association referral directory. If there
is not a holistic veterinarian within reasonable distance of your home, many of
them do phone consultations.
