World-class Acana is made from western Canada's very best and freshest ingredients in their award-winning, family-operated factory in Alberta, Canada. Each Acana formula is made with a diversity of regional ingredients including ranch-raised natural lamb, free-run chicken and whole eggs from local prairie farms, and Lake Whitefish and Walleye caught wild from the cold Northern lakes - human-grade ingredients that arrive at the Acana factory fresh (never frozen) and preservative-free each day.

Grain-free and low-carbohydrate to provide a biologically appropriate, natural canine diet, each kibble of Acana food is loaded with premium meat ingredients and is infused with Omega-3 essential fatty acids (EPA, DHA) from wild-caught fish to support immunity and a luxuriant skin and hair coat.

In place of grains, Acana foods feature regional fruits, vegetables and botanicals - including organic sea vegetables to enhance metabolism, and raspberry leaf and marigold flower to nourish and tone the digestive tract.

Read the ingredients and you'll agree - Acana foods offer a naturally delicious way to keep your dog healthy, happy and strong!

Acana Grain-Free Dog Food features

  • High protein, low carbohydrate formulas for optimal canine nutrition, each made exclusively from wholesome protein sources passed as fit for human consumption
  • Essential fatty acids from fresh wild-caught fish - fresh regional fish and Pacific salmon oil are premium sources of omega-3 EFAs (EPA, DHA) that are important in the natural diet of all dogs
  • Prairie botanicals, regional produce & Pacific sea vegetables - hand-harvested organic kelp, dulse and bladderwrack combined with prairie-grown botanicals and produce provide a natural source of phytonutrients and antioxidant vitamins

  • With no grain, corn or glutens, inappropriate oils or vegetable protein sources, Acana formulas are also ethoxyquin-free, with no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives, and absolutely no genetically modified ingredients

Three World-Class Formulas

  • Wild Prairie - Loaded with premium, easily-digested meat ingredients (65%), featuring a diversity of fresh regional ingredients including free-run chicken, whole eggs, and wild-caught Lake Whitefish & Northern Walleye. Chicken cartilage provides a natural source of glucosamine, chondroitin and essential minerals, including balanced calcium & phosphorus.
  • Pacifica - Made with a full 55% wild-caught fish (Pacific salmon, wild herring and wild flounder), it's bursting with highly palatable, easily digested fish proteins and rich omega-3 essential fatty acids. Lobster and crab shell provide a natural source of glucosamine, chondroitin and essential minerals, including an appropriate balance of calcium and phosphorus.
  • Grasslands - Ranch-raised New Zealand lamb (certified free of added hormones and antibiotics) along with fresh whole eggs from local farms and fresh wild-caught Lake Whitefish & Northern Walleye supply unique and easily digested proteins (60%) in this hypo-allergenic formula.

Complete and balanced for all life stages, Acana Grain-Free Dog Food is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for maintenance.

Comments about Acana Grain-Free Dry Dog Food:

I switched my dogs to Acana Pacifica almost 12 mos ago and they have never been better. I feel like I've put life back into my 10 yr old dog and my young dog does great too. My heavy coated dog doesn't shed now and my short hair dog no longer has skin issues and allergies that once had him on several different medicines. I recommend this to everyone. I have NO complaints about this food.

Comments about Acana Grain-Free Dry Dog Food:

I really like that they use all natural ingredients and that it is grain-free.The taste is awsome because I had no problem switching my dog over. My dogs coat is shinny and soft.I also like that it gave my dog a firm stool, as it is much easier it pick up when I take her for walks.

I had been using another food...Innova....I did some research and found Acana.[...]I have 3 big black labs, one over 100 lbs, they love Acana. Their coats are just brilliant black. No dry skin. Their teeth and gums are in great shape. They have the best looking "Stool" like grapes, firm and well formed....this is the best of the best foods for dogs....In my humble opinion.

Comments about Acana Grain-Free Dry Dog Food:

I liked everything about the manufacturing of this product; free range chickens, (like to know the animals had a quality of life before feeding my dogs), fresh never frozen fish, meat etc, some organic ingredients, grain free (good anti-inflammatory regime), strict quality control - no outsourcing and best of all - my dogs loved it! No upset tummies, constipation or runny stools. However, I've changed over to Orijen (made by the same company) for senior dogs because my dogs are seniors and needed less calories. They like that too! Some might think it's pricey, but good health starts with good food and less vet fees in the long run.

Comments about Acana Grain-Free Dry Dog Food:

My dogs love love this food! I love that it is grain free and they have done wonderful ever since I started feeding it. I will continue to feed Acana as I believe it is one of the few high quality, completely safe and very healthy foods on the market today. Thanks ACANA!!
