My Wheaten Terrier is hard to please, and buying a bed for him is a project. He attempts to run them through their paces by tearing them apart, to see what they are made of! I'm sure many of the chains beds are perfect for most dogs, but I have been down that road many times. When I removed this bed from the box, he approached in the usual way. However, after one scolding, he left it alone for a day or so, but slowly began to lay on it. This is his daybed, and he loves snuggling in it! I am only so grateful that he has found a bed that meets with his approval!

I ordered the large size Big Shrimpy Bed in plum color. I have tried several other dog beds prior to this(somewhat expensive, purchase.)And everyone of them my now 65# Boxer Joker(who just turned one) destroyed within days. I searched & searched & found this one came with great reviews and indestructible claims. So I sprung for it.
I opted for the large size and it is Large! Perfect if you have your own home and the space for this bed to be out in a corner somewhere. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment and had a hard time squeezing it into my dogs large kennel! So now it sits in the bedroom and takes up a good portion of my small room.When I put Joker in the kennel I take the outter portion of the bed off & put the pillow in his cage and that works ok.
Joker loves his bed, but I do have to say it's far from indestructable. Within the first few hours of having the bed, Joker found the zipper on the pillow portion of the bed and by the 2nd day I walked in to see joker opened the zipper with his teeth, he's quite resourceful, and he opened the inner lining zipper as well. Stuffing was everywhere! I had to laugh. It looked like a giant chicken with a boxer's head. Hilarious. So I re-stuffed the pillow,and put a little stitch in securing the zipper closed, and he hasn't done it again. But he did rip the outer portion of the bed on the 1st day just by dragging it on the floor.
So well it's far from indestructible, and on the expensive side...the size makes it a good value, the color plum is true to the pics on the web site, the faux suede is gorgeous( nicer then my own couch!) and my dog just loves it! I also loved the fact that It's made largely from recycled materials. Perfect bed if your dog is one that loves to cuddle up in a little ball ;) I would definitely buy this bed again, the delivery was also very quick! I'd recommend it, but do know that it is "overstuffed" and bigger then it looks, when choosing the size that's best, for your best friend.

My puppy loves his nest bed. I have a large which has worked great b/c it's allowed him to grow into it. I've even washed the bed cover and it was easy to put back on and looks brand new again. I like it b/c it's eco-friendly and planet-friendly!
