These tall gates look attractive when installed and are sturdy enough for use with large dogs.
The gate opens easily and swings back to closed and locked positon -- one less thing to worry about when you are leading a large dog through to another area. They are sturdy enough to withstand a large dog jumping against them, or putting paws on top. The bars in the gate are spaced so dog can't put head through and get caught (safety) but does allow dog to see other areas of the house (so doesn't feel isolated when confined.)
This gate is well worth the price, for it is a gate that will last for as long as you need it, and look unobtrusive in your home.

Large dogs need high, substantial gates for confinment areas when puppies. This gate and the extensions allows the owner to use the product in a variety of areas by simply moving it without complete disassembly. It is sturdy enough that the dog can jump against it or put feet on top and it will stay put. The gate opens and closes easily allowing quick pass throughs and relocks itself when it swings back for safety. The bars are spaced close enough for safety (heads won't stick through), but the open areas betweem bars allows the dog to see owners in areas where they aren't allowed and they feel less isolated.

This is a beautiful gate that works simply and easily. We bought both extensions as we have a large opening we wanted to span and are very pleased!

The gate does it's job but it needs some refining. The automatic closing is a nice feature and the height is great. However, the top and bottom locking mechanisms do not lock in tandem. If the bottom latch does not lock in place when you click the top lock, you need to pull/push on the gate bars or your pet will be able to push it open. The extensions are very easy to install and this was the only gate that had enough extension to cover my 60" wide hallway! The twisting knobs used to lock the whole thing in place could be a little wider for easier tightening, but do a good job.

Overall I love the product with its versitle tension mount system that can fit in many door openings & stairways. It has made my home alot more manageable with several large dogs. I have two on these gates! I like the auto closure but don't care for the bottom locking mechanisim. Not bad just tricky for guests to realize how to open with having to release the lock & lift entire gate opening to clear and release. But I would still recommend the product I figure their is a reason that the design is so strong becuase my 80 pound Akita has stood up on the gate and has never gotten the gate to release. So the design works really well.
