Husband/wife duo and Crypton founders Craig and Randy Rubin set out to create a fabric that was stain, moisture, and bacteria resistant, yet soft and breathable. There was nothing in the marketplace that suited those needs. Armed with decades of knowledge in the textile industry, they set to work to find a solution and, in turn, started a textile revolution.
In 1993, together, in the basement of their Michigan home, along with advice and assistance from researchers, chemists, and textile engineers, the Rubins developed Crypton Super Fabric, protected it by multiple global patents, and set out to introduce this Crypton to the world.
