I was looking for a hemp collar, never tried a martingale, I am very pleased with it. Other collars rubbed the fur off the neck of my Brittany. This martingale collar is perfect being hemp is even better. I praised it so much my daughter bought one for her dog.

regarding the expansion loop. It gets in dogs way of vision, but dogs seem to be able to adjust to this themselves. Collar is perfect for my Queensland Heelers that use to slip out of their collars.

I have a 3 yr. old Boston Terrier who has been walked on a harness for the 3 years however she's highly excitable when another dog approaches and passes. The Martingale collar has worked on teaching her to pass by as calmly as possible. Can't say enough about the immediate results using this collar.

I ordered 3 collars for my dogs who all are small sized dogs. I can even have them exchange their collars! At first, I was a bit worried about the width being too small as they usually wear 1.5 martingale collars. Once I saw them, I didn't care anymore about the width because I too busy loving them on the dogs!The design of the collars goes ALL around. That's right, the design is even where you attach the leash on.
