Greener Pup dog beds are made in the U.S. and the filling is made from 100% recycled plastic--and a single pound of filling is made from 10 plastic water/soda bottles. Depending on the size of each of the dog beds, which have 7-12 pounds of filling each, we're saving 70-120 plastic bottles from being dumped into our landfills! These soft, durable fillers in our pet dog beds are breathable, hypo-allergenic and won’t attract insects.
Our customers, and their pups, love how big and fluffy our overstuffed beds are, but some older or disabled dogs may have trouble climbing on and off of them. If that's the case, simply unzip the cover, open the inner lining, and remove some of the excess stuffing. Our bed fillers really keep their shape, but should you ever want to "re-fluff and re-nest" your bed, just save the stuffing and add it as needed to plump up the bed.

Greener Pup LLC was conceived of by Kari Whitman, designer to the stars, dog rescuer, and environmental advocate. Kari’s "design with paws in mind" for her celebrity clients like Jessica Alba, Kristen Bell and Virginia Madsen led to the creation of her line of custom dog beds. A Boulder, Colorado native, Kari was "practically born recycling" and adopted her first cow at an early age. She’s also always had a passion and affinity for design. As a little girl, she constantly rearranged the furniture in her bedroom…and in hotel rooms on vacations with her parents!
As an adult, Kari rescued "Ace", an American Bulldog, from a shelter and was immediately smitten. When he died, she channeled her grief and frustration into founding Ace of Hearts (www.aceofheartsdogs.com), dedicated to rescuing dogs the day before they are scheduled to be euthanized, and finding them permanent, loving homes. Her mission has saved the lives of over 2,000 dogs in ten years, and Kari has teamed up with celebrities like Mandy Moore, Virginia Madsen, Alicia Silverstone, Emilio Estevez and Wilmer Valderrama to promote awareness of her Foundation and the urgency of rescuing shelter dogs.
Now one of Hollywood’s most coveted interior designers, Kari conceived of the idea for her signature line of plush, comfortable dog beds after searching for earth-friendly dog beds for a celebrity client who was going entirely green in her high-end home. The products Kari found were either unstylish — or not eco-friendly.
So Kari combined her many passions and talents and the result was Greener Pup LLC!
