I've tried a couple of supposedly unscented fish oil supplements - none of which my cat would eat, even when mixed with wet food. My dog wasn't thrilled about them either. However, both of my furry family members accept Iceland Pure Unscented with no problem - what a relief! It's great that this product has one of the highest concentrations of Omega-3's available!

I like the metal bottle with premeasured "squirt"
dispenser. My 2 finicky 8 year old cats start licking the oil in their bowl while I prepare their food. They love it which totally surprised me. I am confidant it is adding nutrition to their diet.

Prudence is a thirteen year old Shepard, with some pretty wicked hip arthritis. Adding fish oil to her diet has dramatically improved her mobility . This one in particular is very enjoyable, as it has almost no odor. It was great the first time i saw her bounding up and down the stairs after avoiding them for months. This works!

Works well for my pet's except it caused diahrea in my 17 year old cat and my other cat started to develop scabs on her ears. She has allergies and I believe her system just does not agree with sardine oil. No reaction to salmon oil I'll just go back to that.

I have a rescue cat who was bottle fed as a baby so I worry about him not receiving the natural immunities that come with mothers milk. He always sneezed, itched, twiched, had above average amounts of "eye boogies" and many foods made him sick. His blood work and lab tests didn't produce any solid cause to his multiple allergies so I tried my own cures. After countless homeopathic remedies for allergies, skin & coat treatments, digestive upset, different foods, you name it, I still couldn't control his discomfort...until I found Iceland Pure Sardine & Herring Oil. I started giving him two pumps each morning on his kibble and one at night on his meat. It took less than two weeks to see results. Over the next few weeks, I tapered him down to one pump each morning. He no longer itches. His coat is so shiny you have to wear shades to look at him in the sun. He no longer has the occasional digestive upset like before and he rarely has hariballs. He loves the taste so it's never a problem to administer. In fact, though I believe it is odor free as claimed; my cats dissagree. The moment I opened the bottle both my cats went nuts for it! I barely had time to attach the pump before they attacked it. Though my other cat had no allergies, I also give her one pump each morning because it has so many other health benefits. My husband and I take an Omega3 vitamin each day, so why not our furry children, too? Iceland Pure Sardine and Herring oil has transformed the well-being of our boy and I can't make enough good comments about it! He's even more affectionate, presumably because his skin feels good enough to be touched. Both our kitties will have it everyday for the rest of their long, healthy, happy lives. Both of my dogs have dry skin due to allergies. I've been using the Sardine/Anchovy Oil for about 4 wks and noticed my dogs skin and coat still maintain a healthy shine and no flaky skin. I'm going to rotate oils as my vet suggests, salmon and cod oil next order.

We started using this about six months ago. Our dog Jack had dry skin since we got him at the age of four months. His skin was so dry that he would scratch himself into skin infections and then needed antibiotics. We changed his food several times, our vet did tests and even placed him on steroids at one point, we hoped that the problem was allergies he would grow out of. We used this oil on his food for about three weeks and noticed a difference almost immediately. We knew that the effect was attributed to the oil because he started scratching and his skin was flaking when we went on vacation for a long weekend and forgot the oil. If your dog suffers from a similar problem, this oil is a great solution.

I use this as a dry skin remedy. No smell so dogs will eat it right up. They always smell the fishy smell and won't touch it otherwise.

I put about half a pump on my 13 year old cat's wet food twice a day to help with her itchy skin. She eats it up with no problems and it seems to have also helped her hairballs. I wouldn't recommend more than half a squirt for a cat because when I gave her more than that, she ended up with really runny stools. Just follow the directions on the bottle and you'll be good! And unless you put your face right up to the oil, it really doesn't smell like fish!
