L-Carnitine is a dietary supplement containing pure L-carnitine, a vitamin-like nutrient derived from amino acids and found naturally in the body. L-Carnitine supplementation supports cardiac, renal (kidney), and immune health. The primary function of carnitine is to carry long-chain fatty acids across the inner mitochondrial membranes and shuttle acetyl groups out of the mitochondria.
