THis is a great product. Our cat loves it and we use it as a reward when she comes when we call and for treats. The only downside is that some of the flakes break up into a powder that cannot be used. So in the bottom of the can there is a certain amount that is thrown away.
We will continue to buy it as it is a great way to get more protein in a cat who won't eat wet food or high protein kibbles.

My cats love bonito flakes, to the point where it's the only thing that distracts my high-strung Siamese at the vet. I prefer other brands though because these are slightly more expensive, and the flakes are smaller than other brands, which means as they settle they turn to fish dust. This is very hard to serve to my cats and very hard for them to eat, since they end up breathing some in.

One of my cats loves this. I use it as a special treat to reward a particularly good behavior. I don't over-use it so she knows that she's been especially good when she receives Kitty Kaviar. Only a few flakes reinforces the behavior, so although it's a bit pricey, it lasts a long time and really fulfills the purpose. On the other hand, my second cat turns up her nose at this product. It's all a matter of your kitty's taste buds.

I use this treat at bedtime every night. My cats know to expect it--it's their favorite food of the day-the meowing is deafening--and they know that playtime is over and Mommy and Daddy are no longer available for food or cuddles as they have been all day. It's a lovely way to say "nighty-night" as everyone toddles off to bed.

Only so-so and had to mix with food for them to even much on them. no fault of the company so I'm giving 3 stars. Doesn't smell all that great either, very fishy.

#1 pet treat at our house! This is the end of the day special treat to get the kitties to come in off of the lanai (pool enclosure) after a long day of lazing in the sun and running up and down beside the pool 'hunting' birds, squirrels, and skinks which are, happily, on the other side of the screen. This is the only treat they'll come in for with just one call--just too good to pass up!
