The special wedge-shaped Peaked Blades (see image) don't pick up clean litter... they only LIFT out waste! This eliminates shaking and sifting clean litter over and over again. The Litter-Lifter glides through the full length of the litter-box without stopping to unclog clean litter.
The basket shape of regular scoops plus the weight of clogged sand trapped in the tines makes for heavy work. The Litter-Lifter is light and easy to use - it does not break up clumps because it gathers only waste from the bottom of the litter pan.
The biggest advantage is that the Litter-Lifter does not scatter clouds of litter-box dust like other scoops. The clean litter remains in the box- the Litter-Lifter moves through the litter-box and catches fragments that are trapped in the wedge-shaped columns.
