Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) contains sulfur in a form the body can readily use. Sulfur is necessary for the production of collagen, glucosamine, and chondroitin, which are the building blocks of cartilage and contibutes to maintaining healthy connective tissue and membrane flexibility. Sulfur is also necessary in the formation of glutathione, which functions as one of our body's best natural antioxidants. In addition, MSM has been promoted as having powerful anti-inflammatory and pain reducing properties; making it useful in treating arthritis, joint disorders and injuries.

Glucosamine stimulates the production of glycosaminoglycans (GAG's), important proteins found in cartilage and proteoglycans, the water-holding molecules that make up the cartilage.  Glucosamine has been shown to not only help pain, but also rehabilitate damaged cartilage.  These compounds may also have anti-inflammatory activity.

Dosage Instructions:
Cats:   1/2 Ultracap every other day, or 1/4 cap daily. *
Dogs:   under 25 lbs   - 1/2 Ultracap daily.
            25 - 50 lbs     - 1 Ultracap daily
            50 - 100 lbs   - 2 Ultracaps daily
            Over 100 lbs  - 3 Ultracaps daily
If giving more than one capsule, divide dosage between morning and evening.*

*Give twice the above dosage for the initial 3-4 weeks of use for optimal results in treating sore or painful joints.
