      My Pit Bull loves this treat and gets one after her weekly bath (allergies). It is kind of soft so when she's chewing on it, it becomes a huge, slimy thing - which she loves - but it also makes it easy to swallow - which can be scary when the chew is still big and gets stuck in her throat. I always keep an eye on her until it's all gone. Sometimes I have to pull out the chew from her throat and hold it when she chews on it.

      Because it is soft, my dog eats it up in a few minutes but at the same time, because being soft, she enjoys chewing it. I think an older dog might enjoy it because of its softness/chewiness. It would probably last longer for a medium sized dog, especeially now when the treats are smaller than they were when I started buying them.
