About Nature's Logic

Nature’s Logic has distinguished itself from all other natural pet foods by excluding all chemically synthesized vitamins, minerals or trace nutrients from all of its product categories. With its special ingredient selection and formulas, Nature’s Logic not only meets, but exceeds almost every minimum requirement for amino acids, vitamins, and minerals listed in The Association of American Feed Control Official’s (AAFCO) Nutrient Profile for Dogs and Cats.

There is virtually no danger of overdose of vitamins and minerals when these nutrients are derived solely from all natural whole foods. Nature’s Logic has carefully chosen special food ingredients that supply needed vitamins and minerals solely from nutritious meats, poultry, fish, eggs, and numerous concentrates of fruits and vegetables. By doing this, Nature’s Logic diets exceed all AAFCO recommended minimums on amino acids and exceed almost all recommended minimums on vitamins and minerals. Nature’s Logic contains only 100% natural food ingredients with no chemically synthesized vitamins or minerals. In nature, dogs and cats are meat eating predators, what scientists call carnivores. When wild dogs or cats consume their prey they eat the entire animal, including hair, bones, entrails, blood, stomach contents, etc. Their prey is often herbivores, or plant eating animals. Predators obtain essential trace nutrients available only from plants by consuming the stomach and intestinal contents, which are partially digested plant materials, of their prey. Cats are “obligate carnivores,” which means their diet must be made up primarily of meat. Nevertheless, even these meat eating animals still obtain essential nutrients from small amounts of plant derived foods. Nature’s Logic pet foods are formulated in a similar way. They are primarily made up of meats and other animal-derived products, but they contain small amounts of selected high quality plant products that provide essential and natural nutrition without the addition of chemically synthesized nutrients. Carnivores in the wild are never exposed to chemically synthesized vitamins, minerals, or trace nutrients. Nature’s Logic is formulated the way a truly natural diet should be, which is the logic behind Nature’s Logic pet foods.

Nature’s Logic sources for natural vitamin and mineral supplementation which have required minimums listed in the AAFCO Nutrient Profiles for Dogs and Cats. Chemically synthesized mineral and vitamin forms have long been used in the feed industry to correct deficiencies in diet formulations, but not without risk. This practice is much cheaper than using enough quality ingredients to provide ample nutrient levels. The National Research Council reports on “Mineral Tolerance of Domestic Animals” and “Vitamin Tolerance of Domestic Animals” state that the main emphasis for the reports is the potential adverse effects of chemically synthesized minerals and vitamins on animals. In the body of the reports it is stated how the toxicity of many chemically synthesized minerals and vitamins has been known for many decades with known toxicity in humans as well as many animals including cats and dogs.

Nature’s Logic is committed to providing diets that include only 100% natural ingredients which provide needed nutrients, including vitamins and minerals from food sources only.

Nature’s Logic diets exceed all AAFCO nutrient profile minimums using 100% natural food ingredients on the following minerals and vitamins listed in the AAFCO Nutrient Profile for Dogs and Cats: Calcium, Phosphorus, Sodium, Chloride, Magnesium, Iron, Copper, Manganese, Iodine, Selenium, Vitamin A, Vitamin K, Thiamine, Riboflavin, Pantothenic Acid, Niacin, Folic Acid, Biotin, and Vitamin B12.

A portion of the proceeds from your purchase of Nature's Logic products is donated to the organization, Feed Them Right Institute. Feed Them Right Institute is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to research on proper feeding of companion dogs and cats for optimal health and longevity. Comments about Nature's Logic Dry Dog Food:

I wanted to feed my dog the best ingredients in a dog food. I researched and came up with Orijen. My dogs really liked it. But Orijen changed their formular and also changed to sodium selinate. My friends dogs got sick and wouldn't eat it, my dog and others started getting very loose stools, so before something happens I went researching again and came up with Nature's Logic and Home Kitchen. My dogs love Nature's Logic, their stools are back to normal and they are so happy when it's meal time, they wag their tails like their getting the best treat ever!!! I have not tried Home Kitchen yet but I hear that alternating the two dog foods, like maybe the Home Kitchen on weekends, cost more so I figured I would just do weekends. Word of mouth is the best way of knowing which dog food is good and this one is awesome, everyone I know that has switched to this loves it!!

Comments about Nature's Logic Dry Dog Food:

We have a wonderful ( best dog in the world) German Shepherd. We tried everything but nothing seemed to work, our poor shepherd simply didn't do too well digesting any other type of food, some of which were very high end grain free as well as the more inexpensive brands. Until we tried Natures logic, I learned that most grain free foods are cut with potato, where as Natures Logic is cut with quinoa. Almost immediately things improved and he seems happier for it. Thank you! Always great to see a very happy healthy doggie!!

I bought this dog food for my mother's dog who has some skin problems. The dog loved the food as did her other dog. After two months of using the food their coats were more shiny but it didn't seem to help the one who had skin problems. All in all I think it is a very good dog food.

Comments about Nature's Logic Dry Dog Food:

I love all Nature's Logic foods because they are logically thought out for best health. My adult dogs thrive on this food and it is my favorite to feed as there is nothing chemically created in their products. Everything is made from whole foods and not fractions of vitamins which are not as effective as the whole food product. Even so, please note that this food isn't for puppies. The calcium and phosphorous levels are way too high for puppies and not in correct ratios for best puppy growth. This food would be great once the puppy reaches at least one year old and the growth rate has slowed way down. What you feed your puppy may not show commplete results until later in life. Now if we can get Nature's Logic to create a puppy food we could all feed healthy from the start.

Comments about Nature's Logic Dry Dog Food:

My Dogs are crazy about this food. I have dogs ranging in age from under a year to 10 yrs old . this product seems to be universally appropriate for all ages and needs. I love the fact that it is nutritionally complete without artificially added vitamins and minerals . Thr kibble size is great for puppies small dogs elderly dogs and larger dogs.I also like the fact that the grain source is millet . My dogs (conosseurs of treats) will eat a handful of this dry in favor of treats so I know the taste appeals to them. I am thrilled to find a healthy, easily digestible food that they love so much.My dog with numerous allergies also seems to do very well with this food.Would highly recommend

Comments about Nature's Logic Dry Dog Food:

I've used several high-quality dog food brands over the years, but when our Golden, Max, began a grain-free diet because of a grade 3 mast cell cancer that was removed (look into "anti-cancer diet"), and our newly rescued Golden struggled with systemic yeast and allergy issues, I researched to find a high grade food that fit both their diet needs. This grain-free food doesn't use potato or sweet potato as its carbs (not recommended for yeast problems), and I like that the nutrients are provided using real ingredients and not just added vitamins and minerals. The dogs absolutely love it - I mix in a little of the canned Nature's Logic, or sometimes some Honest Kitchen's Force. Their coats look great, their stools are smaller, and they have great energy for a couple of 'senior' dogs. Pretty expensive and not easy to find in local stores, but I think it is worth the cost.

This food meets my high expectations for food. I think that my dogs like the other flavor of this one better, too, but they ate it readily.

I tried this because I'd never heard of it but the ingredients passed my strict guidelines. It does have grain, but tried it anyway. Dogs liked it.

I've been rotating through the varieties of kibble since July 2008 and my dog *still* does the dinner dance each time I go to fill his bowl. He never did that for any other food. The other HUGE thing about Nature's Logic is when I've emailed them with questions the responses have been quick, helpful and every one has been very kind. I recommend this food to anyone that will listen!!!
