Very nicely made product, well-packaged, etc. Dogs seem to like them...however, they do smell pretty bad. If you have the kind of setup where the dogs have an outdoor area/kennel space of their own in the house, they will enjoy them. This isn't a product you want to give your dog to chew on while he lays at your feet in the family room when you watch TV together.

My rating reflects the fact it's a "5" in terms of quality for what it is, a "1" because they just won't work in all situations.

Again as with all your products, my dogs LOVE these. My only issue is that since they are so small I have to cut them in half.

This treat keeps the dogs busy for a while in the evening right before they become couch potatoes. I stick a little peanut butter in each end to slow them down.

I have an English bulldog that is a powerful chewer. I bought one of these in 6" form along with some of the curly Q chews (another review). This one lasted a bit longer than the Q's, perhaps 10 to 15 minutes. But I was really watching her and she ended up choking on it after it got soft. I ended up having to take it away...

Still looking for a good, safe chew for my powerful chewer...

I love watching my dogs enjoy these treats. With two seniors and one approaching senior status, I feel better knowing that they're getting a natural source of glucosamine and chondroitin in a chew they really enjoy!

I've been ordering these tracheas for awhile, my last shipment was smellier than I remember them being before. The smell reminded me of dried tripe I order for my dogs...of course, much better though. Since my dog enjoyed both the non-smelly ones and these seemingly equally, I guess I'd rather they had less smell. :) These tracheas, while large, are hollow, easy to chew apart and so they don't last too long for my 80 lb Dobe. For a small dog this would probably be more worth it (financially) but I imagine it would need to be broken up into chunks. I wouldn't want this lying around post-chew (stinky).[...]Overall I'd definitely recommend these but if you're looking for a really long-lasting chew, this might disappoint.

We give these to our 2 dogs about 1-2 times per week. We have smaller dogs, so we cut them in half since they do not need an entire chew. They last long, don't leave a mess, and are good for them!

My dog really enjoys getting one of these for a treat. He digests it well and has no allergies to it. My husband was looking for a dead mouse where the trachea was stored! They do smell a little bit like dead animal if the bag is not sealed well. This will not stop me from buying them because the dog likes them so much.

My dog (15 lb. mutt) had a root canal and restoration of the carnassial tooth. That made most chew options a no no. But the beef trachea is soft enough to not damage her restoration but abrasive enough to keep her teeth clean and she loves them! I give her 6 inches to work on two to three times a week. The only down side is that she has a fuzzy face and being an animal product, there is some odor left on her fur. So, we wash her face afterwards. Being a cartilage product there is some benefit to ingesting the natural glucosamine in the product.
