dogs don't know how to swallow pills so I break it into 2 pc. and mix it with food. I have seen a tremendous change in my dog. My cat has had a history of urinary tract infections and this product is a fantastic way to maintain his kidneys and urinary tract. All I do is crumble the required dosaged on and mix it in his dry food and he thinks it is a treat. There is no need to stuff these pills down your pet's throat. Even if your pet has not had a history of UTIs it is an important way to tonify their system and prevent them. It is very mild. Be Well.

At first I was a little frustrated with the product because I found it annoying to have to grinding the pills up to feed to my cat. They are large and I did not want to go through the hassle of sticking a huge pill down his throat. But then I found out he would just eat the pill if I broke it in half. It easily cracks in half and I just place it in his food dish and he eats it along with the rest of his food. My cat is a very picky eater. It says it has chicken and fish flavor, I can smell the fish flavor. My cat was suffering with urinary issues, so through a combination of changing food (Wysong Epigen) and also giving him Dasuquin, I cannot be 100% sure if this product is the only thing helping. I believe it is a combination. I will continue feeding this product. Before trying these products, my cat was on antibiotics from the vet to treat urinary infection. Once the antibiotics were out of his system, he was in pain again. He was not using the litter box and in distress. Upon using the Natural Pet Kidney Support Plus (along with the food change and dasuquin) my cat improved and is like a kitten again (he is 8 years old). He wants to play each morning and each night. He runs around the house like the wild miniature house tiger that he is. He uses his litter box without a problem. To increase his water intake, i leave the bathtub faucet dripping.

When I opened the bottle I wondered how my extremely finicky senior cat would swallow and accept the pill. I am pleased to say he snatched it out of my hand and crunched it away very happy! I was so surprised. It is not a problem giving him the pill and he takes it as a treat! I love administering something that he takes as a delight. Although I recently started him on this product I can see that his intake of water has increased which is what he needs. I have not seen any negative side effects.

My older cat has mild kidney issues so I purchased these for him. Even though the container says they are chewable, I didn't even bother to pretend he was going to chew these up. I broke one in half and pulverized it with the back of a spoon on his plate then put food over the top and mixed it together. He doesn't mind the taste at all and always finishes his meals. Too early to tell of any kidney improvement but the ingredients are fantastic, using high quality bioavailable, natural items.

Our cat, Blaze, developed hyperthyroidism about eight years ago and after radiation treatment, our vet was concerned about possible kidney problems from the disease. My cat is 16 1/2 years old and has suffered with smelly excrement as well as constantly being at her water dish. She had also been losing weight. This product has been very effective when used daily as it has addressed all of her symptoms above. I break the pills into 4 pieces and place them in her dry food dish twice daily.
