Orijen Regional Red is biologically appropriate for adult dogs of all breeds. By nature, all dogs are carnivores—evolved for a high-protein diet that’s rich and varied in meats, fruits and botanicals, yet free of the grains and carbohydrates found in today’s dry dog foods.

Orijen’s Regional Red replicates the same rich and diverse balance of fresh meats, fruits, vegetables and grasses that dogs would encounter in their natural environment. Loaded with high inclusions of wild boar, lamb, heritage pork and bison—all raised ‘free-range’ within our region, passed ‘fit for human consumption’ and delivered fresh each day. This formula is free of inappropriate grains and carbohydrates and features regional fruits and vegetables including russet potatoes & black currants from local prairie farms, apples & cranberries from the interior orchards, and organic sea vegetables from the North Pacific tidal range. Caught off Vancouver Island, fresh (never frozen) salmon provide a superb source of Omega-3 (DHA and EPA) that support a vibrant skin and hair coat—your dog's outer symbol of health and vitality. Bridging the gap between good nutrition and peak health, Orijen’s veterinarian selected botanicals include sweet fennel, dandelion root & peppermint leaf—all of which mirror the natural instinct to forage for grasses and weeds while serving to nourish and tone the digestive tract. Made exclusively in our award-winning, family-owned factory, Orijen’s Regional Red is a natural and delicious way to assure the peak health of your dog—no matter what his breed or size.

Comments about Orijen Regional Red Dry Dog Food:

This is a fabulous food that is unmatched in quality. This food was the only thing our 12 yr+ Shar Pei/Whippet would eat in the last 3 years of her life, and I whole-heartedly believe that it was this food that gave us 3 more years with her. After spending her entire life as a nibbler, Jenna devoured Orijen Regional Red with fervor and passion twice a day without fail.
We just recently adopted another dog, a Shar Pei/Australian Cattle Dog cross who is both blind and deaf. Lilly was offered Orijen from the first moment she came home, and despite being warned by shelter staff that she was a picky eater, she continues to enthusiastically seek out her Orijen (loaded into an interactive toy every day for mental stimulation, and to encourage her to use her nose). I have gotten compliments by everyone who pets Lilly about how amazingly soft and shiny her coat is-Orijen is her secret!

If you've never heard of this food, take a minute and visit their website (easily located with a web search, since I can't post links here), and then come back to Only Natural to buy it, as it can be somewhat tough to buy locally since Champion will not allow it to be sold by the big chain stores. Orijen is manufactured by Canadian company, Champion. Every single ingredient they use is fit for human consumption, they use only regionally-sourced ingredients that are hormone, antibiotic, and pesticide free, their ingredients are delivered fresh and are never frozen. Orijen is manufactured in Western Canada, in a plant owned (not contracted by) Champion. Orijen has won Pet Food of the Year 3 years in a row due to it's overall quality and low glycemic index.
This food is worth every penny. I will not feed my dog anything but Orijen.
