I use this after an anti-flea shampoo. The scent is very mild, so the dog doesn't smell like a bouquet of flowers. I'm sure my dog Nightshade appreciates that, too. After her bath, my dog's fur is extremely soft whether you pet her front to back or back to front. People at the dog park comment on how soft her fur is. She's a short hair, but her fur is a bit thick and somewhat coarse (not wiry, just not really fine like other Chis that I've met). I really love that there are no synthetics like most other conditioners. Additionally, this conditioner left my hands very soft! I don't feel like I have to put on lotion after bathing the dog.

My dog has bad environmental allergies. He also gets very dried out when he swims. Skin and coat get dry and painfully itchy. I don't give him baths very often because of it. This shampoo and conditioner are mild and do not dry him out. No problems at all when we use it. It also is a very pleasant, mild scent unlike the perfumed shampoos I've tried before.
