Pet Naturals of Vermont UT Support for Cats contains ingredients to support a healthy urinary tract helping to maintain proper urinary tract function and normal pH, which may reduce the likelihood of crystal formation. Also supports immune system function.

Pet Naturals of Vermont UT Support for Cats formula contains

N-Acetyl Glucosamine - an amino sugar that is an essential building block for glycoproteins and glycosaminoglycans. The glycoprotein layer in the mucosal lining of the urinary tract has a high content of N-Acetyl Glucosamine. N-Acetyl Glucosamine supports the function and structure of this glycoprotein layer.

D-Mannose - helps maintain a healthy urinary tract. In the urinary tract, sugar-seeking bacteria preferentially attach to D-Mannose and are expelled in the urine. Although it is a naturally-occurring sugar, it’s not converted to glycogen or stored in the liver. Therefore mannose can be used in diabetic cats.

Cranberry Extract - helps cleanse the urinary tract. It contains proanthocyanidins, which are potent antioxidants that support the urinary tract. Cranberry is a natural deodorizer decreasing the strong smell of ammonia in urine.

Bromelain - is a proteolytic enzyme that helps support the lining and comfort in the urinary tract.

Available as delicious, Chicken Liver Flavored soft chews in a 45 count pouch.

My 19 yr old cat is vey healthy, but recently his kidney numbers are a bit elevated, so I thought I'd try this product. I'm thrilled he chooses to eat these "treats" before others! Whether or not it's helping, I honestly don't know, but plan to reorder more:)

Since my cat eats these (even before other treats), they've been easy to administer. At 19 years old and otherwise healthy, his kidney numbers are just a little high, so I figure that can't hurt. Whether or not they help is yet to be seen.

Comments about Pet Naturals of Vermont UT Support:

This sounded like a great idea. One of my five cats gets frequent urinary tract infections, even with a tip-top diet. The problem is that he won't eat the treats and neither will the other four who don't need the cranberry. And at that price, they're expensive dog treats. I wish they were more palatable to the cats.

Comments about Pet Naturals of Vermont UT Support:

I offer them as treats, mostly to my male cat, since they're more prone to urninary tract problems. He likes the taste and will eat them diced and placed in wet or dry food if he isn't in the mood to eat it as a treat. I can definitely tell a difference; before he starting eating these, his urine had a pretty strong ammonia smell. Since taking these, the ammonia smell is gone.

Comments about Pet Naturals of Vermont UT Support:

My cat Willow is a big boy and his system naturally creates urinary tract crystals. After he became blocked last year, I researched ways to keep his tract crystal free. But I wanted something natural to break them down. Willow is also allergy prone, so it could not contain corn and other additives so often seen in supermarket brands.

Willow happily takes these twice a day, in fact he reminds us to give it to him. and with other preventative measures, we have not had another blockage since. Very happy with this product.

I used this for my 14 year old cat who is in the early stages of kidney failure. It seems that he was urinating a bit less frequently and his urine was not as concentrated. It could be a bit softer, though, for older cats, but I just sliced it into pieces and he handled that well. Peace, Love and Light, Rae
