Our dog is very motivated by this toy, so it is a great training tool. It seems to have a pleasing chewing texture, and she loves to swing it by the rope. She will do anything we ask, if it means she's going to get to chase this toy.

It's not really that she doesn't like it, she's picky about it. She's a pit-terrier mix, likes to play tug-o-war but I didn't realize that small wasn't small enough for her. It fits just enough for her to pick it up and bring it. So if she's in the mood to play fetch it works, otherwise she doesn't really care for it. I would recommend for larger dogs that are really love fetching.

This toy is so much fun for outdoor doggie activities. It floats, it can be thrown suprisingly far for fetch and can be used for tug.

When I ordered this product I wasn't expecting much. The last float we had didn't last long before my 90 pound chocolate lab destroyed it. I was a little worried that the large size would be hard for her to retrieve in the water. We played outside with it for quite a while to see how she would do with it before we went to the lake. She loves the darn thing! She likes to swing the rope around. She is a chewer too and this seems like it will stand up well against that. I wouldn't leave her alone with it for an extended period of time, or that might not be the case. I don't think there is a fabric known to man that she couldn't bite through if given enough time. For supervised play it will do just fine. In the water it was really easy for me to throw and because of the bright colors it was easy for her to spot and retrieve. The size wasn't an issue in the water or on land, it was easy for her to pick up. I did tie a few more knots in the rope because she would trip on it when she ran with it, but otherwise I'm really impressed.

My newfie loves to swing this thing around and slap himself in the face with it. And they play tug of war for hours with it.

I love the fact that it's so easy for them to grab onto and hold despite it's size. And my terrier has no problem hauling the big thing around either, he just grabs the rope and off he goes. It's too cute seeing him trip over it.

They all three sink their teeth into it no problem, and it stays dry so it's easy to hold onto.
