My JRT just loves his Swamp Cooler. With the extremely hot weather we have been having lately (over 100 degrees) it has been a blessing. The vest allows my boy to be outside with me and still enjoy running around.

If you've got a dog that loves being active and doesn't slow down in extremely hot weather, this cooling vest is for you! Er, not you, your dog. Our bloodhound doesn't mind wearing it at all, and it cools him down considerably. The only drawbacks, which can't be helped, are that it's white, so it shows dirt instantly. Of course, if it weren't white, it wouldn't work as effectively. It also makes your dog look like he's in a straitjacket, which is a pro if you like laughing at your dog. :)

Great product! Kind of dries out quick but we're in the arid desert. I was so worried about how I was going to get Toby exercise during our outrageously hot summers. This does the trick! it puts the spring back in his step and the clown in him returns, otherwise a walk was torture. It also is great protection from the hot sun hitting his back. Couldn't be happier with this product. Note; it does have kind of a baggy fit.

Judgement turned into education! Everyone I pass on the trail is giving me a look like, really a vest in 90 degree weather but politely asking "So whats the story with the vest?" Once I tell them its a swamp cooler & reflects sunlight b/c of the color they are ready to go order one. My black 1 year old went on strike everytime he found shade- not anymore- he's running ahead of me the whole time! It dries out after about an hour in dry Colorado heat, but I send him into the water to re-wet it & off we go again. I agree this runs big. A medium cloud chaser from this brand is too small for my dog, but the medium in this is almost a bit big, so do not base your sizing on other products from this brand. My boy also layed in the mud; I washed it 2 days later & it came perfectly clean. I wish every dog I see panting on the trail could have one!Oh wait- they can!

Love this product, but had to send it back for a smaller size. That said, it's perfect for hot summer days when I'm hiking my dog. I've also recommended it to all my client's who's dogs I hike for them. It's an essential for larger and overweight dogs who suffer worst in the heat. Highly recommended for anyone with a dog who lives in a warm climate or traveling to a hot climate. This is the best cooling gizmo on the market. If you LOVE your dog, get one!

I bought this for my Blue Heeler who was getting overheated at the ranch and the weather seems to get hotter each year. This pup means everything to me, he is my friend, and I wanted him to keep cool and not suffer from heat stroke, the number one killer of dogs during the summer.

After putting this on him and I could tell the difference right away but what I like was the way to reactivate it.

However, I thought that after the first day of work it would never get clean but I followed the instructions on the tag and no problem just like new.

Do yourself a favor, save your dog from heat stroke, this will do it.

I used this on my boxer at my dogs club. In full sun it was fabulous but while he was waiting his turn to work it really did not keep him any cooler.

My baby girl is a mover, and she gets overheated easily. 80 degrees is about her limit. Take her to 85 and she begins to get extrememly manic in the throes of the beginning of heat stroke. She searches, she wanders, she's completely uncontrollable. This sweet little vest takes my full-throttle french bulldog from manic to zero in about 30 seconds. It's an awesome product. I take it to doggie daycare with her every day, and they put it on when they start seeing the signs of her getting unruly. It works every time. Thanks for offering this product! I thought it was a little expensive at first, but then I priced out a trip to the vet to fix heatstroke. The vest is clearly a better deal.
