This engaging DVD designed just for dogs is divided into different fun sections - your dog will watch dogs in the water, fly ball and agility competition, dog park play, and much more. Behind the fun visuals of non-stop doggy action, the movie has a soundtrack of different audio cues to keep your dogs interest. It's getting rave reviews from canines and their guardians the world over! The movie is 78 minutes long, and is programed to repeat as long as the player is on.

A WORD OF CAUTION: Each segment of the DVD is announced with a sound like a doorbell ringing - if your dog barks when your doorbell rings, this might not be the best choice for your household. Please consider the Dogsitter DVD as an alternative.

Comments about The Movie for Dogs:

First, my dog is VERY spoiled and II watch tv with him....Animal Planet. He is always captivated by the dogs and cats. I take him to "the dog food store" each time I buy his food and let him watch the mice running in their wheels, guinea pigs, and ferrets. This is where I got the idea about searching for a movie for dogs. He loves this movie and almost wags his tail off watching it. I don't know what he does when I am not home and it is on, but I feel better about leaving him knowing there is something to take his mind off me being gone. The movement is great, but I wish there were more close up shots of the dogs. I recently retired and it is a great "baby-sitting" tool while I do other things in the house. He tries to see where the dogs are by looking behind the tv, just as he does when he sees himself in the mirror. My dog is a small 4 year old Pekingese. If he could talk, I think he would say the movie is "the cat's meow".

Comments about The Movie for Dogs:

although my dog seemed to like the video and the "door bell" sound did not distruct him but only got his attention, when I actually watched some of the video I saw dogs misbehaving, showing dominating behavior towards each other, nose-to-nose behavior, playful mounting - also a means of dominance - dominating behavior should not be encouraged. I am surprised that people who know dogs actually made this.

My dog started watching it but lost interest after about 15 minutes. Perhaps she likes a little more people involvement.

Comments about The Movie for Dogs:

First let me say I think it is great that someone made a DVD like this it is very cute. The problem with my four dogs is it was too stimulating for them and every time they heard a dog bark they would run to the door, every time they heard the door bell ring which signals a new part of the movie they would run to the door. It is a great movie though for dogs that love to watch TV and the action on the TV. Mine just wanted to bark and look around to see where the dog noises were coming from. The quiet only for dog ears voice that says good dog is great because they would look up.

Comments about The Movie for Dogs:

This was very helpful to keep two dogs entertained and out of mischief for a while during a recent rainy day. The retriever was more attentive than my pointer/terrier mix; it was interesting to note that the retriever has some issues with german shepherds - growled every time one came on the screen; didn't with any of the other breeds. Better to know this from a movie than outside at a park.

The first time she watched it our dog wanted to fight those dogs and ran around to the back of the TV to see where they went when the dogs ran off the screen. The second time she was calmer but stayed glued to the TV. The only bad thing is that annoying doorbell between scenes.

This movie is great! My dog jumps up and starts running around during the part with the agility trials. I wouldn't dare leave it running while I'm gone because my dog is big and gets super excited during the agility trials. I'd hate to come home and find my house destroyed because my dog tried to have her own private agility trials while watching the movie.

The only thing we didn't enjoy about the movie is a doorbell ringing at the beginning of each segment. It makes our dog crazy! She watches and enjoys the movie .. until that doorbell rings and then she is so worked-up and distracted it takes a while to calm down begin watching again. But for the most part, she loves it and we love to watch her enjoying it so much.
