Glyco-Flex is a comprehensive line of joint support formulas from Vetri-Science featuring glucosamine, green lipped perna mussels, and their patented DMG.  Glyco-Flex II also contains MSM and Manganese, and Glyco-Flex III contains these and additional vitamins and antioxidants for maximum effect.

Perna mussels are a good source of protein, minerals, and chondroitin sulfates. The Perna canaliculus used in Glyco-Flex is produced by freeze-drying the entire mussel (excluding the shell) of the Perna Mussel from New Zealand. Here is an overview of the three levels of the Vetri-Science comprehensive stage of life program for joint support:

• Glyco-Flex I represents Stage I of the Vetri-Science comprehensive stage of life program for joint support. Recommended to support proper maintenance of joint function and connective tissue health in breeds predisposed to hip and joint dysfunction. Its also recommended by Veterinarians for puppies and large breed dogs.
• Glyco-Flex II represents Stage II, and is recommended to provide comprehensive support for joint function and connective tissue health in dogs with moderate joint dysfunction. Its also recommended by Veterinarians for adult and maturing dogs, sporting and working breeds as well as a follow-up to orthopedic surgery.
• Glyco-Flex III represents Stage III, and is recommended to provide maximum support for joint function and connective tissue health in dogs with severe joint dysfunction. Its also recommended by Veterinarians for geriatric and retired working and sporting breed dogs as well as a follow-up to orthopedic surgery and to promote long-term mobility.

Tablet Inactive Ingredients:

brewers yeast, canola oil, chicken liver flavor, glycerin, natural mixed tocopherols, propionic acid, soy lecithin, Sursweet (maltodextrin, sodium alginate and calcium sulfate), whey.

Suggested Use:

GlycoFlex I, II & III TABLETS:

Initial: (4-6 Weeks)
Up to 30 lbs: 1/2 tablet daily per 30 lbs body weight
31-60 lbs: 1 tablet daily
61-100 lbs: 2 tablets daily
101 lbs and over: 2 1/2 tablets daily

After initial period, the number of tablets per day may be reduced to a maintenance level

Maintenance:
Up to 30 lbs: 1/2 tablet every other day per 30 lbs body weight
31-60 lbs: 1/2 tablet daily
61-100 lbs: 1 tablet daily
101 lbs and over: 1 1/2 tablets daily

If giving more than one tablet, divide between AM and PM.

GlycoFlex I, II & III SOFT CHEWS:

Initial: (4-6 Weeks)
Up to 30 lbs: 1 chew daily per 30 lbs body weight
31-60 lbs: 2 chews daily
61-100 lbs: 4 chews daily
101 lbs and over: 5 chews daily

After initial period, the number of chews per day may be reduced to a maintenance level

Maintenance:
Up to 30 lbs: 1 chew every other day
31-60 lbs: 1 chew daily
61-100 lbs: 2 chews daily
101 lbs and over: 3 chews daily

If giving more than one chew, divide between AM and PM.

When introducing any new supplement, it is wise to start with a lower than recommended dose and build up over the course of several days to a week.  Only introduce one supplement at a time.
