The occasional hairball is to be expected, but a month ago, my cat started to hack up gigantic hairballs daily, something he never did before (and he's a shorthaired cat). I tried this product, hoping it would be more effective than Petromalt. I'm happy to say that the daily hairball problem has stopped, although he still vomits up an enormous one once a week. I like that this product is natural - it contains no petroleum, etc. - but Sam will not eat his food when I add this oil to it. Thus, I have to administer it with a syringe, and he hates the whole ordeal. I can't say I blame him. In addition: before giving him this product, his coat was like velvet already, but this oil has made it even more so. All in all, a good product, but because it's not palatable and unpleasant to administer, I would not recommend it.

I bought this product about a month or so ago. I was skeptical at first. I can't believe the difference in my cats especially
my oldest. I still have to brush them but I noticed that there is less hair. They also have not had a hairball episode since then (that I noticed)

After my kitty stopped taking the hairball gel with her food, she would still take this mixed into her food with no problem. This has more beneficial ingredients than a basic hairball formula and was recommended to me by my holistic vet.

This is the most effective hairball elimination product I've found and my cats take it with their wet food no problem. I've used other natural petroleum free gels. I've yet to see the long term effects on coat quality. The fiber and enzymes help with more that just hairballs. Was recommended by my Holistic Veternarian.

My cat, male 11 years old, has developed hairballs in the last year or so. I have tried store brands (Petromalt), vet supplied hairball remedies and now this natural version. For the first one or two administrations according to the directions, he seems to be happy. By about the third time I serve it, he shakes his paws and runs away, indicating, I have learned, intense dislike. I don't know what gets into him, but he doesn't like hairball remedy formulations. He is happy to take hairball formula dry food, however, but, so far, I haven't seen that it works.

My kitten stopped heaving to cough up hairballs. The extra bonus about this product is that it leaves his coat shiny, extra soft, and slick; he slides right off my lap while sleepin'. It makes me wonder if I should add more omega 3 + 6 to my diet!
