For cats.

By nature, all cats are carnivores, possessing a biological need for a diet that's high in protein and rich & varied in meats - not the carbohydrates and grains in conventional pet foods. High-protein, low-carbohydrate Orijen Cat replicates the same rich and diverse balance of fresh meats, fruits, vegetables and grasses that your cat would encounter in a wilderness setting.

Made with the highest inclusions of free-range chicken & turkey, whole eggs, and wild-caught freshwater & saltwater fish - all farmed or fished within Orijen's region and delivered FRESH (never frozen) each day - Orijen Cat is bursting with protein-packed, human-grade meats (minimum 75%) that form a Biologically Appropriate diet, and none of the grains or carbohydrates that are inappropriate for your cat.

Instead of cereal grains, Orijen delivers a full complement of regional fruits and vegetables -russet potatoes, peas and black currants from prairie farms, red delicious apples and cranberries from interior orchards, and organic sea vegetables hand-harvested from Vancouver’s Pacific tidal range.

Fresh, never-frozen salmon are caught off North Vancouver Island and provide a superb, Biologically Appropriate source of Omega-3s (DHA and EPA) that nutritionally support a vibrant skin and hair coat - your cat’s outer symbol of health and vitality.

Bridging the gap between good nutrition and peak health are Orijen’s veterinarian selected botanicals, including dandelion root, sweet fennel and peppermint leaf - all of which mirror the natural instinct to forage for grasses, while serving to nourish and tone your cat's digestive tract.

Comments about Orijen Grain-Free Dry Cat Food:

I've been buying this for my 5 cats for about six months. They were on Natural Balance LID, but changed to this because one cat vomited weekly. So far, no vomiting with Orijen. All cats seem to like it a lot.

Comments about Orijen Grain-Free Dry Cat Food:

I bought this because I was sick of feeding my cats dry food loaded with corn and grains. I wanted to try this because of all the good reviews and the price wasn't that much more than the science diet stuff that my vet sold me. So far both cats seem to like it and they don't eat as much of it as the other dry food I was feeding them, making me think that it has more substance.

Comments about Orijen Grain-Free Dry Cat Food:

Probably one of the best processed kibbles on the market right now. It is a great food if you must feed dry food, and great to add to a rotating diet. I have fed it to my cats for years, and my oldest kitty who is a notorious kibble-aholic won't eat anything other than Orijen and Acana. [...]

Comments about Orijen Grain-Free Dry Cat Food:

My cats loved this food - went through it faster than most; seems to leave them hungry and wanting bigger servings than usual. Since it's healthy food - I think that's great, though it is a bit pricey. Only con, and this I'm sure is just an adjustment phase thing, is that they have had a bit of a hard time digesting the food - some throwing up which is not typical of them. But, as they continue to used to the food it happens less and less. Would recommend.

I have 2 older cats that have had a problem with urinary track infections, one that I believe has difficulty digesting grains and I also have a kitten that needs the extra nutrients for growing. This food addresses all of these issues. I was shocked to find that all of them liked this food and then continued to like it a month later, because they are usually hard to please when it comes to dry cat food.I wish I had know about this food years ago.
