Pet Naturals of Vermont Urinary Tract Support for Cats helps to maintain proper urinary tract function, reduce the likelihood of crystal and stone formation, and support immune system function in your cat. This superior combination of ingredients works together to provide pH balance, proper kidney function, and support the elimination of unwanted materials in the urinary tract.

Pet Naturals of Vermont Urinary Tract Support for Cats features:

  • Marshmallow Root (Althaea officinalis) & Corn Silk - both contain polysaccharides that can help support comfort by fortifying mucosal GAG layers.
  • Cranberry and Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) - both act synergistically to acidify the urine, which helps dissolve stones, support urinary tract comfort, and increase urine volume to pass stones and crystals.
  • Olive Leaf Extract and Uva Ursi - these help the body to remove unwanted materials from the urinary tract and may reduce the ability of unwanted material to adhere to the lining of the bladder and urethra. They help detoxify the kidneys and have a drying effect on tissues.
  • Chanca Piedra (Phyllanthus niruri) - supports removal of kidney and bladder stones from the body.
  • L-Methionine - an essential amino acid that supports kidney circulation, SAMe production, healthy liver function, and acidifies the urine.
  • Lactobacillus acidophilus - balances gut flora and intestinal pH.

Available as a delicious, fish flavored chewable tablet in a 60 count bottle.

need to grind it up and only mix 1/2 tab with 1 tbsp before cat will ever get close to it...The smell is so bad, I start gagging as soon as I open the bottle, and can only imagine what it smells like to a cat...

Fish flavor good size tablet, easiest way to administer is to crush and mix in wet food.
This is not an easy product to administer to a cat.
It did work in a lesser dosage, which was a blessing considering that it called for 2x a day. My cats enjoy wet food only once a day.
I believe their are easier products on the market.

it seems to help control uti issues, but cats won't eat it on it's own, it has to be disguised... like ground up in their food. i just smash the pill up and mix with a little wet food. prior to using any ut support supplement, male cats would occasionally urinate outside of box. including this in their diet helps.

Comments about Pet Naturals of Vermont Urinary Tract Support for Cats:

After an $800 vet bill recently . . . I did not want to have Roux (roo) go through another painfull episode: blood tests, scope, catheters, iv's and injections. . . He's not a vocal cat and uses the yard rather than a litter box (I have one set up anyway). His bladder was the size of an orange when I brought him to the vet. The bladder would have ruptured had I not sensed that something was wrong. After 2 days in ICU, and injected antibiotics (rather than giving him pills), he came home. Not the first time he's had a problem. Roux is 7 now and has suffered off and on his whole life. The diet is all canned food with rare dry kibble treats.

About 3 weeks ago, I noticed he was not being very social: avoiding any petting and squatting in the yard for long periods of time. I did some more reading about chronic urinary problems. This product has proved beneficial for my cat.
Usually Roux is a finicky eater, but I placed one on the eating area and he ate it with no trouble. He continued to eat these for several doses (1 morning / 1 evening). Rather than worry about him developing an aversion, (as noted in other reviews), I smashed the tablet between two spoons and sprinkled it on his canned food. I've observed his eliminations - under a minute now - to scratch, pee and cover. These must have worked for him. I will continue to monitor his behavior and will resume another round (14 days)if I detect a problem. He's back on the couch, the computer desk or bed and much more like his sociable self -- purring and making biscuits. I've even received 2 mice special delivery from him . . . yep, my real cat is back.

Comments about Pet Naturals of Vermont Urinary Tract Support for Cats:

I had great hopes for this medication, based on the description. However the taste has not been adjusted ( NOT fish flavor at all !) to be appealing to a cat and I cannot get any of my cats to accept it. I ground it up, even though it is very hard to break up and dissolve, but it was thrown up. The medical odor/taste is so strong and disagreeable that I cannot disguise it in any of the wet foods they like. A total waste of money! So I do not know if the formula is any good. I would NOT recommend at all.

My cat has an ongoing bladder problem due to stress. He recently became totally blocked and had to spend a couple of days at my vet. He then developed a "leaking" problem. I saw this stuff and was skeptical but in reading the reviews I decided to try it. The pills smell terrible! But if I crushed them up and hid them in canned food, he gobbled it right down. He got 2 a day for 8 days and it worked wonderful!! No leaking since!! I would and have recommended this to friends!

Be sure to follow instructions and read up on it. It can only be given for 21 days in a 90 day period. I grind it up and mix it with wet food. Our cat devours it. We have had no further problem with stones or blockages since starting on it. We will continue to use it.

The pills are hard to crush - I used a small mortar and pestle. This worked quite well. The herbs are aromatic (herbs are!) and sometimes Moussie would not eat the food. I found that putting the pills in some irresistible gravy and let it sit for a bit, that was more to his taste. Please note that this particular cat is finicky!
The spraying was down quite a bit from the start, so I must say that Moussie must have some deficit. I am very glad that something worked for him! No more worries about urinary crystals ans less worry about marking. Good Stuff

My cat doesn't think they are all that tasty but my vet suggested giving a cat pills with Cheez whiz spread on them. I tried that with this and he ate it right up. Seems to work well.I realize cheez whiz isn't all that healthy but it works for this. We've had no more problem with the urinary system
