This really significantly reduced our flea problem. However, you will need to buy more than one container so that you can reapply and retreat when needed. We also found that keeping it applied to the dog more often makes it control them better. Have yet to use it in the yard though. I was very impressed. I'm so glad there's a healthier alternative to bombs since I have babies in the house! I am planning to treat the house and yard this winter and spring too to prevent this from becoming a problem next year. The powder really is concentrated too - a little goes a long way.

I LOVE the product since I do not like to use chemicals on my cats which can lower the power of their immune systems. It works, but not for long.... You MUST thoroughly put it on furniture and carpets, and, if your cats go outside a lot into a very large space such as mine it is impossible to keep the outdoors free of fleas so you must diligently repowder the cats and inside surfaces regularly or your cats will be scratching again.

The directions say to use one teaspoon for a 10 lb. pet, and for a smaller or larger pet, adjust accordingly.
I have a 4.8 lb. kitten, and started applying the 1/2 teaspoon to the area at the back of the neck and down the backbone. The directions say to rub the powder all over the body starting from this point.
Of course this is impossible to do with a small kitten that only thinks that you are playing with her and wiggles too much. I tried applying it again a few days later in the same area, spreading it under the chin and on top of the head. The fleas persisted. After yet another application, I never got rid of the fleas.

Wonderful stuff! It is a little difficult to find and costs a bit more than I want to spend. Otherwise it is miraculous and helps my cats and my house to be flea free without creating the serious health concerns other stuff causes! I do not find I need a mask at all. I just put it on and rub it in and vacume it off my carpets and so on (per the directions). I put it on the cats, and they don't mind at all. They kind of like the attention! Then, they stop scratching themselves.

This is the 2nd time I've used this product to combat a flea infestation at the beginning of flea season. Product does have special issues like the need to wear a mask during application but if you follow the instructions, you home WILL be flea free. I'll never use another chemical flea treatment in my home.
