Since feeding raw advantage, the dogs coats are much nicer. They love it. Just remember to thaw the nite before!
cat with chronic diarrha and GI bleeding for 6+ months following castration despite multiple restricted diets, suppliments, and medication trials in various combinations. He was wasting away, losing coordination, incontinent of stool, and we were having to consider euthanesia despite his youth.
He didn't like the taste at first and initially I force fed him small amounts for the first day, but once he started to eat it he developed a ravenous appetite for it within days. It looks as though he is going to fully recover thanks to this formula.
My 11 year old Shepard Sharpei mix was diagnosed with Lymphoma on his Birthday October 31st,2007. I immediately did tons of reseach on how to help him without chemotherapy and surgery.(We just could not afford it.) I have been treating him holistically now for 6 months and he is doing great. I found Raw Advantage Critical Care in my local specialty pet food store and started him on it immediately. Raw food is excellent for dogs and the fact that the critical care mix has Essiac herbs is a big plus. It is recommended for treating Canine cancer.
The only problem I have is remembering to take it out of the freezer the night before. It may take a while to figure how much to feed. Not as messy as buying raw meat plus you have the added veggies and fruit. All of my dogs love it, even the finicky old lady (14 yrs)w/ the sensitive stomach. One chub splits nicely between 4-6 dogs. Be careful! It may not look like a lot, but they will gain weight if you get too generous!
Tiger did not like this product. I couldn't even bribe her by mixing some other food that she liked in with this, she would pick it out and not touch this. I really don't know what she did not like in this food?!! All I know is that she would not eat it at all. I will try it on my dogs because I am sure it is healthy for them.
