Tried this food a few months ago; over a period of weeks, I noticed my three cats were rarely hocking up furballs (almost none) and their coats improved immensely. I alternate feeding this food with another quality dry food primarily due to its cost---it is pricier than most of the other premium brands, with the exception of Wellness, which seems to be the most expensive (it too is a great product). Best of all, Castor & Pollux food is made a few miles from me in beautiful Ore-gun, a state I am proud to call "home".
Of our 6 cats, 5 definitely like this food - a good record given our cats' diverse tastes. Charlie especially likes the bananna chips and will pick these out of his bowl to eat first. He'd love to see more bananna chips added to the mix! But is happy with the rest of the ingredients, as well.
My Cat loves this! She is so much like a child in that she eats the FRUIT first! She loves this. And of course, dry food is so important for cleaner teeth. This truly is one of the Healthiest 'dry' cat foods I've found.
I was really surprised when my cats ate the bananas and cranberries. They LOVE the food and I feel better knowing they are getting all the nutrition they need to be heathier.
My two cats absolutely love this stuff, especially the dried banana pieces. The pieces are substantial in size and quantity (though I did discover that the green bag has many more pieces in it than the blue bag, and they also seemed to like the kibble pieces in the green one better). It's completely stopped their hairballs, and their coats got all shiny and healthy looking after a week of eating this food. They also have a lot more energy. I still buy it, even though it is pricey, because it's so good for them, and they just love it.
I started my cats on this food after the food recall and have noticed an improvement in their appetites and playfullness. They eat less food but seem to have more energy. They like the bits of fruit the most and will eat them before they start on the kibble. The best part is I don't worry about the recall anymore because I know I am feeding them a good food. Thanks so much!!!
Fritz had had a weekend of hairball vomiting and stopped eating his dry Petguard. I had a sample of this from a trade show. He ate it right up, dried fruit and all! You can see the dried pieces in with the kibble. We are now on our second large bag. He has not vomited since. His coat is just a luxurious as it was before. It's just a little challenging to keep after the kibble he pulls out of the bowl and forgets to eat!
