My cat developed allergies to grains, and had a severe life-threatening reaction to corn but eventually all foods caused problems until I switched to grain free. He loves this food and finally has no itching and draining eyes. I also love the bag because it is a natural container and I no longer have the mess of having to pour food into a separate container.

Until recently I was using a very expensive food that was limited diet for my cat because she is allergic to wheat. The food was extremely expensive, (yes, even more expensive than this stuff--by ten or fifteen dollars for a significantly smaller bag!) she didn't like the taste, and I suspect the bag did not keep it very fresh.
What a difference. My cat *loves* this food. She's on a diet so I can only give both my kitties a little more than a cup between the two of them in the morning, but this food is gone by noon--my old food would only be nibbled on throughout the day. Most of the food is gone when we serve it. The food works perfectly well for a gluten-allergic cat, too--no hives or bald spots like when I used conventional cat food. And it might just be because her fall coat is coming in, but my cat's hair feels so soft and smooth.
Great product--can't recommend it enough!
I have tried different high end products for my cats. They either didnt like the taste, smell or it didnt agree with their tummies. When I brought home BG - Chicken. They went for it immediately. I like this food because it helps keep their glycemic index balanced and they seem to feel better on it. Thank you Merrick for coming up with this!

My older cat is rather sedentary. I have tried low fat foods, but she is still overweight. I like the fact that Merrick BG doesn’t have all of the fillers that other brands use. We’re still quite new to this food and her weight hasn’t dropped, but she has become more active and her coat is looking much better than it was.
My other cats benefit from this food as well. I don't need to buy different diets for each of their different life stages anymore.

I was so excited when i got this for my cats..but they would rather starve then eat this..it looks fine and is very good for them but they just won't eat it..i have three bowls of food for them to choose from and when the one was empty they just sat by it and cried for 2 days and wouldn't eat this product..i was very disappointed.

My two cats use the tuna flavor dry food every day...I just add a little green vitamins and small amount of diatomaceous earth powder and they eat it all.

At 21 years, Satcha was begining to lose weight on her regular diet of other 'high quality' dry food. She eagerly ate every bit from the very first day and continues to "nearly inhale" each serving. She has gained weight (unusual for a geriatric case) and remains active and athletic!
