i like it tasted it, never give anything that i do not try first.to see if they are right in turning it down.my siamese little girl loves it plain or mixed with a little cooked peas or beans,or rice.mixed with water in can is what cats need. my older siamese are as little picky on this, they are used to kibble, but we are working things out. then again, it is hard to impress lotus blossoms(siamese)any way.my older male is out of sorts lately, so he is eating this ,but is not happy right now. BUT GOOD STUFF.
I use this to mix with my dogs' food. I prefer no grain or veggies in the added meat and this food is tasty (no leftovers) with the smell and nourishment they need. I don't have a cat, but if I did, I wouldn't hesitate to feed this brand. The quality is very consistant and worth buying for your pet.
But then our kitty is weird about food. If it isn't Fancy Feast, she just won't touch it. Do they put drugs in Fancy Feast or what? It's full of cereal and by products, but she is addicted to it. Other people have said much the same thing.
So far, I've only purchased the canned Quail. Each can contains a great deal of broth. The broth smells absolutely wonderful to me, but initially my cats sniffed the quail and then walked away. I had to mix the quail with some fancy feast salmon before they would eat it.
Now that they've tasted the quail I no longer have to mix it with another food. I can just put down the can and they'll eat it.
I will continue to purchase this food. I like rotating different foods like quail, rabbit, and venison into their diets so that they aren't eating chicken and turkey everyday.
This is what my cat thinks about the quail . She seems to have some grain allergies so canned food is a little harder to find for her needs. When I opened the first can she ate about a quarter of the 5.5 oz can right away. I find you need to scrape the food with a fork after putting it in the fridge at least that is how my cat likes it anyhow. Try it yourself and see.
Should be along with a good dry meal..seperately, but goes down easily for a cat who has a very sensitive stomach or that is ill. I have an aging FIV possitive cat and this is the ONLY canned food that goes down easily and stays down. Now he is nourished again.
3 oz cans are larger in circumference than standard 3 oz sizes and will not fit store bought plastic can covers.
Pull ring is difficult to pull back and sometimes has sharp edges on it going against your fingers. I noticed this because you must pull quite hard to get the lid off. Not fun at 5:00 a.m.
