The only food my cat likes better is tuna from
a can. She loves this cat food. I just pour
some in a bowl--don't add anything to it.

My 11 yo cat developed food allergies. We searched our local pet store for a food that did not contain beef, chicken or corn and could find nothing that was suitable - not even the foods for allergic cats. Natural Balance has restored my cats health. She now has a beautiful healthy coat and no longer has open sores from constant scratching. She and my younger cat love the green pea and duck formula. [...]I am so thankful that Natural Balance is there for my cats.

I adopted a ten-year old cat from our Humane Society. One week after, he started to vomit up all of his food, stopped eating, and lost four pounds over a very brief period. After a month of diagnostic testing, the internist determined that he had severe IBS. He was placed on a twice daily prednisone regimen. He absolutely refused to eat any commercial food - wet, dry, or raw. He refused cooked, organic ground beef, lamb, turkey, fish or duck. My cat was only willing to eat organic, boiled, shredded chicken breast, to which I mixed a prescribed vitamin supplement and ground calcium as a result of a UC Davis veterinary consultation. He also drank a shallow bowl of skimmed milk and water. Over a six month period, he improved quite dramatically, put on weight, and felt well enough for his prednisone to be reduced to 1/8 of the original dose. After 8 months, he surprised me with an abrupt new eagerness to eat dry food again, by helping himself to my other cat's food. Previously, he ignored or refused it. Having refused other limited diets previously (Hills Duck, Venison and/or Rabbot & Green Pea) I finally tried Royal Canin HP 23 (soy base). He does very well on it and likes it very much. Coincidentally, once on it, he refused the chicken diet. Still concerned about the origins of that food, however, I decided to experiment with this natural brand of Duck & Green Pea. Because neither cat ate it immediately, I offered it in a separate bowl. Both have since taken a liking to it - especially when I sprinkle a bit of probiotic (Forti-flora) on it. Furthermore, so far, both tolerate it very well.(By the way, my IBS cat also likes a couple of teaspoons of non-fat yogurt.) The long story is that although this may not be a suitable solution for a very ill cat with IBS, it may in time, represent a desirable, and well-tolerated option once the cat is feeling better. I'm delighted that both cats like this food. I, like so many others, am very relieved that I have a choice for my "kids" that doesn't include mystery ingredients. One of my kitties has food sensitivities, and NB Duck and Peas provides a dry food that is very tasty and easy to digest. Would recommend it to any pet owner who is looking for a product that improves allergy symptoms.

My cat loves this product. She actually will "ask" for it. I had been searching for a good kibble since it is the only thing my cat will eat. I mix this dry food with Innova Evo. My cat goes crazy for it. After reading horror stories about contaminated food, I feel like I can finally relax. I would most definitely recommend this product.

I use this dry product in conjunction with the Venison & Green Pea wet food allergy formula. I tried a lot of different varieties of single, "alternate" source proteins (rabbit, duck, venison) for my cat that has food allergies...and after months and months of trial and error, found the Natural Balance combination works the best as there is also no wheat, rice and other potential allergens. I also much prefer this to the prescription recommended IAMS...as they do horrible animal testing and Natural Balance does not..so if you're an animal lover beware.
