I have a male cat that has a very small urinary opening & every several months would get a blockage even though he was on a holistic food.....Evo. He is 1 of 5 cats. Since I changed his diet to Wysongs Uretic diet combined with raw food & Nature's Herb Urinary Relief pills he has been fine. I would recommend these products to anyone who has a similar problem. My cat seems much more content with this diet adjustment...he doesn't scrap with the others any longer & his spraying (even though he is neutered) has ended.

This food is so much higher quality than the usual "vet prescribed" diets(Hill's and Purina) for FLUTD prevention and idiopathic hemmoraghic cystitis. Start slowly with it, though. Coupled with Nutri-Ease daily, Tinkle Tonic 3-4x weekly, Cosequin daily and multiple water bowls(distilled water), my cat's urine PH is down and the struvite crystals are gone! We had tried literally everything, and I finally decided a natural route was better. My vet is fully supportive after seeing the results. Don't give up, you are your cat's best advocate!

Thomas has horrible urinary issues. Cost as Vet was astronomical. He no longer wants to piddle on the carpet when he feels the urge to go. He would make little spots all over my room. Tried store brands for UTI, and he turned his nose up. He is a picky boy! Found ONLY NATURAL PET STORE, bought one 4 pound bag, and all 5 cats went crazy over it. We are on our second 4lb bag, will next buy the 14 lb bag. He no longer wants to piddle on the carpet when he feels the urge to go. Thomas was a very sick boy, would have fevers up to 104 degrees. Vet said with a fever that high and the irritation from the crystal/stones could kill him in less than 24 hours. I can't imagine life without him. He is a momma's boy! Hopefully none of the other 4 will experience this, especially since I have found the cure.

One of our cats was just diagnosed with FUS and was put on food you can only buy at the vet office, we decided to treat her with a more natural approach and she loved this food better than what we had purchased at the vet.

The food is eatable. However my three cats do prefer the type of food with a higher fat content. I bought this food because it is cruelty free. I guess I have to keep searching for the cruelty free cat food that will be likeable by my cats.

I have one female cat that is 17 years old with renal failure and the other is a three year old male who seems to have digestive problems. He was put on I/D Science Diet, but I decided he needs some canned food so he will eat Spots Stew. Since he's male, I decided the Uretic might prevent urinary problems also and he likes it.

I have one cat who has to watch what he eats. The rest are just finicky. They all enjoy this dry food over anything else.

I have tried the perscription Science Diet foods for my two cats with Struvite Crystals, and I hate how they have by-products and corn in them. I gradually switched them over the the Wysong Uretic and have been very pleased with the results. They still have an acidic PH which dissolves the crystals. Definately check with your vet before switching off the RX food and moniter them carefully after the change. I still give my two boys water in an oral syringe several times a day to ensure they have enough fluids since this food does not come in a canned variety. A wonderful all natural food!
