I've been using Canidae for about 8 to 10 months. At that time I had 2 pups ages 5 and 6 months, 2 seniors ages 9 and 11 years old. I didn't mix old food with Canidae to get them to change over. I gave them Canidae only one night and all 4 dogs chowed down as usual. One senior and one large pup who is now 14 mos., have both lost body fat, got lean and actually put on muscle. I'm very pleased with Canidae and my dogs love it too. If they didn't like it I'd know it. they have their ways of telling me - like tipping over their food bowl. There has not been any bowl tipping with Canidae. Thank you for a great dry dog food.
I have nothing but good to say about his product. My Chahuahua transitioned over with no problems. He loves it. My daughters Chahuahua puppy comes to visit daily and choses to eat at my house, so she now uses it too. Don't be afraid to spend the money, its well worth it.

I have a rott cross, lab cross and bechion frese and I had a heck of a time with food products. Saydi the Rott cross was getting fat and dull and flakey skin, Butch the lab cross had a bummed leg, getting fat and a picky eater. My Mimi the bechion was extremly picky. I heard about Canidae and I have been feeding them for a few months now. Saydi's coat is beautiful with no flakes and she's thinner and more active. Butch eats his food now and has lost weight and his limp from his bummed leg is gone! He now jumps and plays like he used to. Mimi, she had allergies from other foods and constantly scratched until she had sores. Now she doesn't scratch like she used to and her eyes are much clearer. I would recommend this food to anyone!

My Frenchie and Pom are very picky about their food. Worse than cats. So, on the suggestion of our local pet store owner(buy local not big chain stores) we tried Canidae ALS. They loved it. Their coat improved after a couple of months, and their stools became firmer. We will continue to use this.

I have 4 dogs. One of my dogs German Shep/Rottie Mix kept gaining and losing weight(could see his ribs, breath smelled)He is now 2yrs old and many vet visits (different vets too) couldn't figure out the problem. Tried other high quality grain free, beef free and soy and corn free foods-didn't work. This food is great-he looks amazing he's put on about 10lbs of weight and kept it on for about 4 months now-a new record. My other dogs like it too but have to make sure they stay very active otherwise they gained weight as well. (Yes, I follow the serving suggestions)My moms dogs(shep mixes) aged 2-17 years old did very well on this food too. Very satisfied and thankful that this food exsists!

I love Canidae, my dog loves Canidae, my dog's trainer and vet love Canidae. It's made from human-grade ingredients, it's nutritionally balanced, and its positive impact on my dog's health is obvious; people regularly comment on the health of his coat and his strong physique. It lasts and is generally more affordable than other foods of equal quality. I really trust this brand.

I was recently looking for a natural dog food without all of the fillers and chiemicals to change my dogs over to. After seeing all of the great reviews, I decided to give this a try. I have two labradors and they love this stuff. With the previous food, they were always so gassy. After about a month on the Canidae, this gassy condition has greatly improved. Also, the flaky dry skin has really improved. The only complaint I have so far, is the size of the kibbles (approx 1/4" diameter x 1/8" high) is rather small for large dogs. I would definately recommend this food to anyone.

We have a German Shorthaired Pointer (extremely active)that we got through rescue and switched him to Canidae because I wanted him to have a food that was all natural with human grade meats. He loves it, there is never a morsel left. I have even trained him using the pieces as treats. His coat is shiny and he is happy and active. Couldn't ask for better.

I have two dogs, and this is the first time I could ever have them both on the same food. I have a 15 month old 75lb highly active search and rescue dog with food allergies, and a 5yo 30lb mix who is incredibly picky about her food. My 5yo would graze throughout the day, and now empties her bowl during every meal, and my 15 month old has no allergies to this food, which is amazing because even treats will set off ear infections and red swollen paw pads. It's also affordable, as quality foods go, which is important when I go through a bag every 3 weeks. If only I could learn to eat this well!!

I was using Nutro for a very long time and someone turned me onto Canidae. I free feed my older dog and I fill up his bowl and it is gone. When I filled the same bowl with Nutro it might take him a couple days to eat the same amount. My older dog will be 20 come the first of March and he is doing great on it.

I've read all I can about this type of food and finally got a bag. My puppy loves it and gobbled it right up and my 4yr old dog loves it and she would usually leave some of her food. But not this food..she eats every bit of it! I love that it is all natural and I compared it to my other brand of dog food and there is no comparison, Canidae is the best!

My girls eat every bite, they didn't do that with their prior food (Nutro)...their coats are beautiful and they have plenty of energy to go out and chase the squirrels..(I give the squirrels a loud notice that they are coming after them though....don't want anyone hurt!)

My 10 month old yellow lab had yeast infections in her ears. We took her off of anything with wheat or corn. We were feeding Nutro Natural, then Natures Recipe. Her ears cleared up, but her poops were always like pudding. I have a Boxer mix with a beautiful coat and he started shedding like crazy.
We switched to Canidae ALS and both dogs are doing great. My labs stools have firmed up and my Boxer has stopped shedding completely. Both of their ears and coat look great.
I love it and hope they continue to do good on this food.

my dogs LOVE their Canidae. i LOVE that it's healthy and affordable (cheaper than science diet!). what i noticed right away was that the scratching and shedding stopped. my cat eats Felidae and she looks and feels so much better now!
i've started converting people at work and what's so amazing is that their dogs LOVE this food, too! you can't beat it!!

We just switched our 5 month old miniature schnauzer to this product and she loves it! We ask her to sit and stay while we put her food down, and her little tail wags so fast that it makes it difficult. She just wants to bounce toward her bowl, so I assume she enjoys her new food immensely. Looks like a winner in both our eyes!

We were doing reasearch on the different organic dog foods after the scare we had with those commercial brands that are out there but our dogs just wasn't fond of the flavor. We had them on Natural Balance before switching to Canidae and they disliked the flavor so much so that we had to switch them over to their Natural Balance.

Our cocker spaniel was a rescure from the streets and we originally had him on pedigree, then switched him to science diet which he loved. The pet food recalls happened and I vowed to take all our pets of commercial pet food forever. We tried some samples from the local natural pet store and this was the one that he gobbled up the quickest. (A couple of them he ate one bite of and it sat in the bowl all day.) So we switched to Canidae. The value and quality of this food is terrific. Our dog is healthy, alert, energetic - I highly recommed it.

We switched from Science Diet Small Bites to Wellness, and my mini schnauzer did ok, but still had flaky skin and became lethargic. I switched her to the Canidae at the recommendation of the employee at the specialty pet shop in our town. She highly recommended it for the flaky skin and scratching. Well, no more flaky skin, which is great, as my dog is pitch black. She scratches occasionally, but it is pretty much a none issue. She has her energy back, too. And the price is not too bad either. Hopefully, they won't change anything in the food.

I am a breeder and this is the only dog food we use now after using Eukanuba,Natural Balance,Life's Abundance and all of them "over priced" foods. My male Bichon's so called hotspots have all gone away since we started the dogs and puppies on it last year. They will even eat it out of your hand. How many dogfoods can you do that with?

Thank Goodness the pet food I feed my dogs is this good. All my dogs love it. They are all various ages: 5 months, 2 years, and 11 years old. They're all active and healthy animals. But what's most important is that after this most recent scare of pet food contamination, I am just glad the ingredients in this food are so healthful. I do not need to worry about my animals well-being. I could not afford to have three sick dogs on my hands. It would break my heart and my pocketbook.

This is one of best products and best price that I have found for my dog, who is a r/n pit bull, with skin allergies. She has been on this food for over a year now and the results is amazing. She weighs 70# and only eats 3 cups a day. Her stool is always firm, her coat shines and her skin allergies have nearly cleared completely. I have recommended this food to all of my friends. For nine or ten months I was driving 100 miles round trip to purcase this food for my dogs. I have recently started adding the canned food to her diet, and have seen even more improvement in her coat.

This is the only dry dog food I've found that meets all of my requirements: healthful, no fillers, human-grade ingredients, multiple protein sources, affordable, and palatable. My dogs love this food. They eat readily and have fantastic coats. My vet cannot believe that my dogs have coats like they do, or that they are in such good health on a dry food. If you can't feed a raw/prey model diet, this food is as good as it gets. It is by far the most affordable of the 'top' foods, and I've seen better results on Canidae than on many more expensive foods.
