I have a very active dog that needs to be exercised and kept busy much of the time. When I haven't time to get her out, a lamb bone is just the thing to keep her busy. Nutritious too!

I buy about three of these raw lamb bones for my dog Chocolate whenever I go to get a bag of Canidae all life stages. I ushually get pork necks and trimmed beef ribs at the grocery store but lamb is hard to find there at a good price range. And besides. Those fancy looking lamb chops aren't meant to be fed to dogs. People would probanly freak out if I told them I was buying an 18 dollar lamb for my dog! Nature's Variety lamb bones are not the fancy part of the lamb. Perfectly fit for dogs. My dog loves it. My dog is about the size of a beagle and some parts of the bone are soft enough for him to eat. Good product. Good pricing too.

Mason is so excited when he gets his bone after dinner. He plays with it, jumps around and pounces on it like it's prey. Then he settles down and chews for days! Excellent product!

Dog Likes It, Good Value, Nutritional, Tasty
Cons:
Hard to Digest, Messy
Best Uses:
Active Dogs, Larger Dogs, Smaller Dogs

My 3 dogs go nuts over these. My 60# dog has no problems with it, but it takes my 35# dogs 4 to 5 hours to eat one. It also causes some diarrhea & vomiting up of small bone fragments in the smaller dogs. They don't have any problems with the smaller bones. I think this bone is a little to big for the smaller guys, causing them to overeat.

I love these treats. It seems to bring the wolf out in my dog because she will naturally guard them and chew away. She then takes them outside to bury them and digs them up later to eat. This is actually a normal thing for dogs to do because by burying food they are actually preserving it. It's their own fridge I would say. It looks gross to us but to them it's yummy. I don't mind her doing that though. If I catch her in time before she buries them I will refreeze them for later. This is an excellent treat for dogs and it lasts long. I love all of Nature's Variety products because they are healthy and natural.
