My dog grew up on the best grade commercial dog food, according to her vet, but when the dog food scare happened, we weren't willing to continue with the big name brands so we switched to Wellness. She has loved this food since the beginning, although she did have some major problems adjusting to it at first. Her vet said it was because the Wellness food was so much more nutritious than her other stuff. She won't eat anything else!
Sparky always liked dinner time but from the time I first opened the bag and at every meal he's like a ping pong ball going bonker's until I put the bowl down. I wish I liked salad's and other healthy things the way he loves this very healthy dog food.
A few years ago, my miniature dachshund underwent surgery to remove bladder stones. After hearing the diet the vet recommended (BLEECH!) and reading about the possible side effects, I did LOADS of research. This food is not only nutritional, but it is very well balanced. My dog loves it and has not had any problems with recurrence of stones (something the vet said would invariably happen within 3 years of the surgery). I should've had my dog on this diet from the beginning! But...better late than never. I also supplement this dry food with Merrick canned. Great stuff too!
A skinny dog I had filled out great on this food. Our current young dog has had runny stools on this food. He is part pit-bull which are known for grain allergies. I was disappointed to see rye flour and oatmeal on the ingredients list (when switching from adult to puppy food). I didn't notice grains at first (puppy food did not contain). He's been through two 15lb bags so far so its safe to say its not the switch he's sensitive to. Also it is a false assumption to assume rye flour is whole grain b/c it is often not(especially in USA). I feel wellness has gone down hill and added fillers. As a food chemist with knowledge of feed industry I would NOT recommend a food with flour of any type of grain (wheat, rye, corn, oat). If your dog doesn't have food allergies this is probably a great food although your dog will not put most of those grain carbs to use (so you are paying for stuff his/her body can barely use!). I do acknowledge Wellness does have great product integrity and lab testing but I'm going to spend my money on Canidae (cheaper and better ingredients!). (P.S. my dog also hesitates to eat it!)
One of our goldens had frequent urinary tract infections. We've used this product for several years, no more problem. Goldens will eat anything, and neither of them objects to this food.
Wellness Super5 Mix Chicken must be very tasty, because my dog eats the entire amount I give her. This makes me happy, because I know it is very nutritious.
My dog (pit bull) was newly adopted by us at age 3 years, so we are trying out what foods will help out the sensitive skin. He had lots of "hot spots" and some crusty areas under the neck, sometimes rashiness under the arms and in the thigh area. We are on the first big bag of the lamb and we also got some canned (lamb too) to vary it up and he is SO glad to eat every last morsel! He also has a nicer coat, the crusties (yuck) are healing and I don't see any more rash. I will keep on with this for another bag and I think we'll probably stick with it. It is showing great results for us!
I lost my best canine friend on Christmas morning to a liver problem at 7 years old. I really think that better nutrition might have extended his life. I have spent many hours researching dog food and Wellness is my choice. Our new puppy and our 4 year old LOVE it! The cost does not bother me, I truly feel that will balance out with lower vet bills.

Call it luck or coincidence... after 10 years of eating a competitors brand (sold by most veterinarian's), my otherwise healthy and very active dog was diagnosed with Lymphoma and went through a series of illnesses including a cancerous tumor on his paw that prevented him from walking. Within a week of switching to Wellness the tumor began to heal and has since turned in to a small chunk of skin that continues to get smaller. This food has prolonged my dog's life by several months and possibly several years. I can honestly say this because we were preparing to put him down which has not been a recent concern.

Found out about it through my hairdresser--saved her animals from chewing hot spots and no more allergy remedies or steriod shots which were expensive and gave my dog stomach upset. Love it and will continue to purchase the Wellness food and chew products and treats. Thank you!
I feed Wellness to my younger active Jack Russell Mix. She loves the food. Since using the food, her coat looks better, she has put on some weight (which she needed), and has tons of energy. I would continue using this food.
Our dog used to eat everything except his food. I did some research after I read an article about ingredients in dog food that led me to Wellness Super5 mix. At first he did not seem to like it that much, but when I added a little bit of warm water (like the bag suggests) he gobbled it up.
Before, his bowl was always full. Now, my husband and I have to check with each other so we don't overfeed him. He eats the food within minutes of being served.

My chihuahua has always loved meal time but since starting him on this new food he's a maniac. As soon as I get his bowl he starts hopping in the air and barking - he never did this before even though I've always had him on a premium dog food. He's one happy dog.
I like to switch Pieper's food maybe three times a year...like me, she likes a variety. Wellness was a great find and we're both very pleased with the process and ingredients. Thanks for your thoughtfull attention to animal health and good nutrition.
We have a 2 yr old black lab mix that we rescued as a pup. He has always been a picky eater, with his Iams. The food would be picked at for 48 hours. I thought Iams was a great brand until I heard about the high carbs(sugar). Which would explain all the itching. Then I heard about Iams animal testing and that did it for me. Decided to go natural. First time I filled his bowl he downed it. Could not believe my eyes. He looks forward to dinner time and he Loves the treats. Itching is subsiding. I might try the allergy formula, just noticed it on the Wellness site.

Helped eliminate crystals in one of our golden retrievers urine. Was on expensive prescription food and this is so much better for her.
We have 3 dogs and none of them are too picky about what they eat...until now. They did not like this food all that much but ate it because they didn't have much choice. All 3 would pick up a mouth full taste it and spit it on the floor. Guess I will stick with their old food since they love that!
All of my 4 dogs like this food. I have an 8 y.o. black lab/chow mix, a 6 y.o. red dachshund, a 5 y.o. yellow lab and an 8 mo. old Cavalier KC Spaniel who has been on this food since he was 4 months old.
Klondike is delicate and this has not caused any food allergies at all.
I am a dog owner and also a "foster mom" for a Greyhound adoption group. Some greyhounds are notorious for having sensitive stomachs, and my current grey had horrible "track coat" complete with dandruff and excessive shedding when I adopted her. This food has been wonderful for improving her coat and agreeing with her stomach. I feed it mixed with a heaping spoonful of the Wellness Canned Lamb. Jackie and I couldn't be happier!
I am so grateful that I felt the need to research types of dog food when we adopted a shelter-dog in January. Due to that fact I discovered Only Natural Pet Store. I feel that in doing so I saved my dogs from the horrible deaths that could have befallen then with the dog food scandals. I have learned so much about the yuck and trash that is fed to domestic pets, dogs in particular.
