We bought this food to try on our minature Schnauzer. Not only does he LOVE it but our
9 pound Yorkie as well. We are so pleased to have found a quality food that they like so much.

My Rottie shares a house with a very food allergic Basset Hound. They both were doing good on the Wellness Fish and Sweet Potato, except for my Rottie having terrible gas. We switched him to this product and his gas has disappeared. Apparently he doesn't do well on grains as that is pretty much all we changed! And we don't have to worry about the Basset Hound because it is fish based, which is ok for her. One con to this product is that it is so healthy that he doesn't have to eat much so he doesn't always feel full. But that is relatively minor. : ) The other minor con is that it has chondroitin in it which some allergy dogs (like my Basset Hound) have problems with, so we can't use this product for her right now. We love Wellness!

I like that this product is grain-free but uses fish as the main protein source. That makes it a good change from beef and chicken. Also, the protein/fat ratio is a more inline for the needs of a less active dog. Some grain-free foods are too heavy on the fat for the less active dog. My dog likes the taste and maintains a trim body line. Transitioning to Core Ocean was seemless and didn't upset his tummy or his potty breaks.

Purchased this product because my dog has multiple food allergies. I didn't realize until several months ago that my dog suffers from grain allergies as well as animal protein allergies. He's been on this kibble for about 5 weeks: he sheds less, his coat shines, less dry skin, ears are clearer, firmer evacuations, etc.
The only negative is that its a tad expensive. Having said that, because its such good quality, the pup eats less than other brands so it does last for a good length of time.
If your pup is experiencing problems with his food, try this, you won't regret it.
