My 8 yr. old poodle mix has been having horrific problems with his ears itching and crusting and also his skin itching for the last 3 yrs. Since I have had him on this raw freeze dried turkey and sweet potato food, everything has cleared up. I have my old dog back again. He loves the taste; wish I could buy another flavor to change up things a bit for him. I have tried and the vet has tried everything in the way of medicines; nothing helped--until I changed his food. Definitely would recommend it to anyone whose pet is suffering with problems like this.

My golden has digestive issues and can't tolerate potato, carrots or tomato. It is very difficult to find a quality dog food without those items. He has done very well on this food. Although it is too expensive to feed him completely, combined with a limted ingredient kibble, his digestive symptoms have improved dramatically.

I have two smaller dogs that absolutely LOVE this food! We get the large bag and after a couple of discounts we figure the cost to be about $1/day to feed them with this food only - which is a good deal. This is the first food I've fed my shih tzu where he stays at his bowl until it is licked clean. My other dog - shih-tzu/terrier mix - has lost a needed 3lbs after being on this food for 2 months. We did nothing different with him - on the contrary, he is more sedentary because it's winter and we haven't been able to get him out on walks.

The only con, and it's a stretch, is that this makes my dogs chins crusty (this wouldn't necassarily be a concern w/fur vs. hair dogs). They both shove their face so far in the bowl that their mouths and chins are covered in juice by the time they're done. We keep a wet washcloth near their feeding area to clean them up a bit after feeding time. It's like Thanksgiving twice a day for the dogs in our house!

I would, and have, recommend this food to any dog owner. If you mix wet and dry food for your dogs, this is a GREAT alternative to the wet food. Canned food gets expensive, and was frankly a pain in the butt for us - not to mention it created extra waste in the form of all those cans we threw away (recycled) every week. Depending on the size of your dog, you can mix a little of this in with their dry food and you will save money and I guarantee your dogs will love it.

I have tried so many foods for my pug. He has skin allergies and nothing ever seemed to work, even from the vet. He would constantly scratch and chew on himself and now he is doing so much better. He gobbles it up, its quick and easy to prepare, and it looks so good a human could eat it! His coat shines, the itching is only a normal amount now, and he even farts less. :) He is 9 yrs old and he seems healthier than ever. He's lost weight and is more active, and I know that he is getting the best nutrition possible. Thank you Only Natural Pet!

My 16 year old dog whose pancreas isn't functioning up to par and who is a little senial has been losing weight is eating again. We decided to get him something super special so he would stay focuesd and he has!!!!! He loves the raw food! At first we were rotating between this and other food, but he eats this food consistently and he has put on some weight!!!!!!!!! The other dogs love it too. My only wish is that there was an even bigger discount for buying more in bulk as I would love to be able to feed it to my other dogs as their primary food. Also, I bought the Freeze dried patties and he prefers the Easy Raw, though both are excellent options.

This food seems to have very little Turkey in it, what is there is in very large chunks. This is very difficult for my 4 small dogs to eat. I must cut every piece!
Perhaps, it would be better suited for large dogs.
It also causes stomach upset and burping.

Only Natural Pet Store Response:Actually the turkey amount is always the same, sometimes pieces get more broken up in the mixing process than others. Most dogs do experience stomache upset when switching to a new food, so we recommend a gradual transition.

This is a great food! I have tried multiple dehydrated/foods and this by far has the most meat in it. The chunks of meat are larger than most and my 3 dogs come running when I start mixing it up. I find it's also easy to prepare. I check all the time to see if there's any "New" flavors, maybe a novel protein one. Still waiting, but when it happens, I will purchase it! My Furkids & I Thank You for this delicious food!!!

My welsh corgi loves this and can't wait for it to rehydrate - the bowl is spotless clean when she is done. I use hot (almost boiling) water to speed up the rehydration process which cuts the time in half. The smell is on the strong side so I wouldn't make up more than a single meal at a time. We use this for either her morning or evening meal and then use dry dog food for the other. Makes for a nice combination and keeps good value.

It was so hard to find something to tempt her every day, because she would eat one kind for a couple of meals and not touch it after, but she gobbles this up .I also like that it has no grains since allergys, tend to happen with grain foods .

We were feeding our two cockapoos dry food that was "natural". When I really read the label I was amazed that most of the ingredients were grains. They never seemed to be satisfied and were always looking for more food. When I saw this product I decided to try it. They can't wait for me to put the bowl down and they lick the bowl dry.

It has taken me over a year to find the ideal food for my two Maltese puppies. One of them has allergies and this food in combination with the Salmon Oil supplement has finally gotten her off of the Benadryl. They both love it. In fact, after trying everything from kibble to canned food, this is the only thing they gobble up every day. They used to share a bowl, but since migrating to this food, I have to separate them because they are so excited for breakfast and dinner.

I have given this to all my dogs and also to a couple rescue ones. They all ate it like it was the best food they ever tasted and that's surprising because there are a couple picky eaters that won't eat almost anything. They started hearing the bag and would all come running after the second day. It's easy to make, just add warm water and let it sit for about 20 minutes. It smelled so good like Thanksgiving dinner I wanted to try it too!!

Our little six-pound Maltese suffered from chronic vomiting, and we were concerned about her weight, the health of her GI tract, and her teeth. We took away dog bisquits, kept her all-natural food for now, but have supplemented her regular diet with the Easy Raw Dehydrated turkey and sweet potato formula. It's your formula that has put her over. She has NOT had one single episode of vomiting since we introduced this formula to her. She loves it and dances for it at her two regular mealtimes. Her breath is fresh, she is gaining weight and she no longer feels like a little bag of bones when we pick her up. She is far more energetic (having spent many many weeks listless, tail dragging, and stinking of vomit). She is one happy little dog, thanks to your expert advice and product of explemplary quality. If we could afford to feed it to exclusively at this time we would. Since she's doing well, we've decided to keep the status quo for now. We are so very grateful, and so is our little one. Thank you!!

My finicky pug LOVES this food. I cannot tell you how many brands of kibble we tried plus all the different mix ins to get her to eat. I still wound up throwing away so much food. SHE LOVES THIS FOOD and it is sooooo easy to prepare. The transition was quick and she has not had an upset stomach since switching. The only downfall is that the food is a bit pricy but for a small dog who only eats a total of 1cup a day, it doable and I have no left overs to toss!

I am very happy to have such healthy near-raw food to feed my dogs. I always worried about the poor choices that other dog food companies offered. I was mixing kibbles with canned food to make my three dogs happy. Now I don't have to do that anymore, and they eat the food right up. Thanks for such a good idea. My only suggestion would be to have other flavors.

I recently switched from honest kitchen force to easy raw and Falco, our 3 yr old german shepherd loves it even more than the force. chunks of raw turkey rehydrated make it appealing for him. I am alternating right now for variety. My only concern is there is less fat in the mix and less calories so he seems to want more. I was already adding cod liver oil to the force and now add even a little more for it is winter and he could use more for his coat. Just wondering why the difference? I thought I would be feeding less but it is about the same. Also, another flavor would be great to alternate. I think I read that you will be doing that in a few months. I cannot wait to see if it makes even more difference in the summer and fall when he still had issues with the force with skin problems from enviromental. We shall see.

I have a German Sheppherd Puppy of 4 months. I have tried several different foods for him, but they just didn't work out. His fur was always itchy, he had bad breath, loose Stole, and his fur smelled like dog as was greasy. This food by far is the easiest for him to digest. His coat shines and he has no dog oder at all. His breath no longer smells. I'm just amazed at how much cleaner dogs are when you feed them the right food. I am very happy with this product. My only complaint is sometimes it doesn't seem like there is enough turkey in the mix, and because of that I am not sure it fills him up. I feed him frozen patties as well to make sure he is getting enough meat. Still I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

Only Natural Pet Store Response:About that turkey...the turkey is pretty delicate once freeze dried, so sometimes it does get mixed more & crumbles into smaller pieces- but the same amount IS in there!

As the food rehydrates its aroma fills the kitchen--it smells just like a full Thanksgiving meal complete with all the healthy components. The dogs love it!

You will have to allow enough time for rehydration (I use hot water from the kettle and let it sit, covered, for about 20 minutes), because the turkey takes a little time and could, otherwise, remain dry in the center.

I add this to a reduced portion of the dog's (I have 3 greyhounds and one beagle) kibble. With the EasyRaw there is never an issue of indifference to food. In fact, one of my greys has cancer and this food keeps her eating heartily.

I have the typical picky poodle and getting food that he will eat has been a challenge from Day One. After reading the reviews and getting some encouragement from other owners about the raw diet, I tried it. No problem now as he can't wait to eat and now I can add kibble without having to grind it up. This is so much easier than the previous cooking and prep I did.

Seems a little expensive at first, but there is no waste, my dogs don't leave a scrap.
Would like to see a little more turkey in the mix.
Is there a chicken and vegetable variety?

Only Natural Pet Store Response:The ingredients are required to be listed by weight; this is why sweet potatoes are first on the list. In reality there is more turkey but due to the mixing it can break down into particles easier than stay in large chunks- so the turkley is in there! We do intend to offer more flavors in 2010!

I feed my Bernese Mountain Dog raw in order to be proactive about preventing cancers and other diseases common to the breed. I want to keep her as long as possible! This is one of the products I have used. She loves it and does well with it. I don't usually make it ahead, but pour warm water over it first thing in the morning and feed it a little later. That way it isn't refrigerator cold. I would also love to see another flavor. I some times worry that the turkey will have a "sleepy" effect and avoid it before training and showing. It is difficult to compare the cost of dehydrated with frozen, so I guess I should calculate the cost of actual servings. The dehydrated is convenient for us since we live away from stores where shipping is necessary. I also make my own raw meals and use Addiction brand dehydrated for variety.

I prefer a raw diet for my "boys". I know they should have veggies and fruits as well but I could never get the taste balance that they would eat so stayed with the meat and bones. This product is great. The "boys" were a little hesitant at first but eat with relish now and get all the good stuff. Although it is structured to be eaten alone, I still mix it with some of my ground turkey and bones and it is gobbled up each time. Great product for getting a balanced, healthy diet into your pet and travel is a piece of cake now. Thanks for an outstanding product.

My 10-yr old dashchund mix loves it (but he isn't too picky!). My 11-yr old shepherd chow mix is taking a medication for mast cell tumors; a side effect is loss of appetite. She likes this although she doesn't gobble it down. I like its nutritional value.

Switched to raw foods for my Husky with cancer to eliminate chemicals and additives. Her coat has totally changed texture, even colors as other reviews had said would happen. Her head is like touching velvet. She had a tumor removed from her foot but needs radiation that I cannot afford but am hoping she will be better able to stave it off longer with this great new food. She and our other stray love it!

Oh my gosh! She loves it. I got it because we are traveling & normally feed her the frozen raw patties & tripe. I started her on it before we left & I was so surprised that she took to it right away. She is not a 'foody' & particular. We just started our trip & it is so handy except I do like to mix it up the night before & then that require refrigeration......but oh well. It's worth because SHE LOVES IT!!!!

Harry, our boarder collie, has skin allergies to most of the dry dog food out there. This is the only food I could find that didn't have chicken meal and a lot of other fillers. There's a list of ingredients he's allergic to. This was the most natural food I could find. It's easy to prepare and he loves the taste. I'll mix up a batch and use it all week. I mix in some cooked hamburger. His coat looks better...less flaking.

Only Natural Pet Store Response:We just want to remind people that it isn't necessary to mix in more meat- sometimes the turkey gets finely ground in the mixing process...but it's in there!

We have two standard poodle rescues who have never been great eaters. One developed struvite crystals, so we started them both on a vegan diet for a while (had to start both because there was no way to feed one a vegan diet and let the other eat meat--the one who needs the vegan diet is a real scavenger), but it seemed so unnatural, and they were so miserable. The vet suggested supplementing with cranberry for the one with the crystals issue and putting them back on meat. After trying a variety of foods, including cooking for them, we discovered EasyRaw. The dogs LOVE it. They can hardly contain themselves when we put it down, and they don't lift their heads up until the bowls are licked clean. It's incredibly easy; we mix a day's food at a time, but it only takes half an hour for the food to be ready to eat after mixing, so if you forget to mix it up after dinner, you can still serve up breakfast pretty quickly. Because it's freeze dried, it's light, so traveling with the unmixed food is no problem. And it's a grain-free diet, which is what's natural for dogs. It's the only food they've really been enthusiastic about eating, and it's the only food that keeps the scavenger from finishing off the other one's food--and gaining weight--simply because he doesn't leave anything behind. Excellent product.

I HAVE A 12 AND 13 YEAR OLD GOLDEN, WHICH IS TESTIMONY TO WHAT GOOD FOOD AND EXERCISE CAN DO TO GIVE DOGS LONGEVITY.

I don't know where to begin to explain why I'm so happy with this food. I have a Shih Tzu which just turned 1 Oct 20th. Since the day that I have brought him home we have done nothing but worry because he would not eat much. Since this time we have tried many high end brands of food which he promptly turn his nose up.

The latest food which was another highly rated food lasted the longest but even with this food he would go a day or two not eating. I tried cooking food for him and even adding in cheese or baby food just to get him to eat. OK, I knew I was losing it when I would sit on the floor to hand feed him. This was just nuts. I could not do this forever.

In my desperation I posted to a site that I belonged to and they suggested Raw food feeding but I just couldn't see myself throwing a chicken neck to him so I googled raw food diets and came across this food. I figured that I had nothing to lose so I placed an order and received it on Sat. Now they suggest that you take it slow and transition between the two different foods. This was not an option since he wouldn't even eat the old anymore. I made a bowl right away to see what would happen and he went nuts. This was the first time since I have had him that he cleaned the bowl and didn't walk away prior to completion. This has gone on everyday since. In fact today I was up early to get my children off to school and figured I would mix up some more for tonight ahead of time and put it in the fridge. I put some in a bowl this morning and he quickly ate his breakfast (I didn't put a lot in his bowl) and went off to play.

This afternoon he was sitting in the kitchen which was strange looking at me like he wanted something I thought that maybe he may need more water so I got up and when I opened the fridge he again went nuts. Laughing I took out the bowl and I gave him some more food in his dish to see if this is what he wanted. Sure enough it was.

I'm totally shocked since he has never ever been this excited to eat before. Needless to say I'm calling all my friends and family to tell them about this food.
This has also solved a problem I had with him drinking very little which in turn was causing UTI's. Now this could have been the problem or the prior food, I guess we will find out in about a month when he will be retested. I do know that his intake of water has increased.

I think if you are having a problem with you dog eating I would surly give this a try. I know it seems expensive but really it's not when you realize all the money you waste in food that goes uneaten and to me this is like having health insurance. The better he eats the less he will be sick. The lower the Vet bills will be.

The first time I opened the bag of dehydrated food (which doesn't look all that appetizing to me), my beagle mix can RUNNING into the kitchen. He waited in there ALL NIGHT (while it was in the fridge) for his breakfast. He scarfed is whole bowl, then licked it, then looked underneath for more! He then went to lick my other dog's bowl, while my other dog went to lick his. He now stands vigil at the kitchen in the middle of the night. I will wake up at 3am to find him sitting by the kitchen door. Both of my dog's coats look sooo shiny (i was even feeding organic kibble before). My beagle mix has even lost some of the weight he needs to lose. I can't say enough GOOD about this food. I wish I would have found it years ago.

I like the dog food for my pets I believe it improved my old dogs health/energy she was giving up on life before she was eating only natural EasyRaw and now she has come back to life. She has breast cancer I believe only natural EasyRaw has extended her life a little longer. My small dog doesn't vomit anymore since he has been eating only natural EasyRaw dog food he has a sensitive stomach. The dogs could use a few different flavors with real meat of corse. Additionally, the mixing and storing process is too inconvenient. I was really glad when I found out about only natural pet food and so were my pets.

Coats are shiny & healthy, and those who needed to dropped unhealthy extra pounds. All had food allergies even with "premium" foods. Happy to say not one needs allergy medications any more.

My aged pug is allergic to everything! Last year, he was so sick I was considering putting him to sleep... just before doing so, I decided to go raw. He was fed just whole ground chicken for months. He is too old to physically eat whole bones. His health slowly improved about 70%, however, he lost too much weight. When I saw this dehydrated Turkey mix, I thought I would try it because it has added nutrients along with the veggies he needs. I now mix it with his raw meat and bones and he has put on some extra weight (now a normal weight).... and he is even healthier and happy!

As far as the taste... well, my pug will eat anything... however, I am sure he enjoys this food.

Another convenience, when we go out of town my pet sitters are more comfortable handling this food as opposed to the fresh raw meat.

My 10 year old lab has kidney problems and the last year has not shown much improvement. After a recommendation from a vet on line I tried this product. My dog was on it for 3 weeks and was due for a repeat blood test. If you are familiar with kidney problems, you will know what it means when I say his B.U.N. was 98 the time before and came down to 52. That is huge. The creotine is still high but also came down a bit. My vet says that takes longer to come down. They were thrilled with his improvement. It's obviously easy to digest because it's natural!! He also lost 7 pounds and is very young and healthy looking and is acting himself again! He jumps up and down in the morning to be fed! I attribute it all to the food!!

This is an addendum to a previous review I wrote:

I tried the food for my dog's caregiver as a convenience for 10 days while we were out of town. She hardly needed transition time because I was already feeding raw.

When we returned, she had lost some weight, was more active, and even ran for the first time in over a year (she's a Border Collie aged 12). She's also back to rolling on her back like horses do, which she had just about stopped. She also seems to be more alert and sleeps less during the day. This food is a boon to her well being, I'm convinced of that because when we returned, I transitioned her back to her regular raw diet and she put on weight, became lethargic and seemed depressed.

So she's back on a combination of her raw and Only Natural Turkey and Sweet Potato and has picked up again where she left off, back to perky, etc.

This combination of nutrients is perfect for her and I would recommend it heartily.

You won't believe how much I've searched far & wide to provide the best food I can for my fur babies (little Shitzu & Yorkie Mix). I've tried many different foods that touted to be the best, was expensive but turned out to be garbage, gave my dogs gas, made tons of poop and occasionally gave them the runs as well. After a scary episode of food poisoning at the vet's emergency room, I've finally decided to stay away from processed pet food all together. I've always wanted to go Raw, but found it to be messy, expensive and hard to travel with. EasyRaw is the best of both worlds. My dogs love it (they lick their bowls), so easy to prepare and to travel with, affordable, I have no complaints. Occasionally I mix in some of my own meat which makes this system so economical and versatile. Thank you so much for making such a great product for my fur kids!

I decided to try this product for convenience reasons. My dogs already have beautiful coats, no allergies, good energy, and great teeth and gums because I have fed a raw diet for two years now. Let's be honest though, sometimes raw just isn't that convenient in terms of storage and prep. You have to have a deep freezer for storage and take time to package all the meat in portions when you bring it home. I have been using this product for 10 days in addition to raw meaty bones. My dogs had NO digestive issues when introducing this product (the grain free helps that!). This is important b/c one of my Chihuahuas has colitis and as long as he eats raw, he has no issues, so he obviously digests this product very nicely. This product is great for many reasons; traveling, supplementing/offering variety to a raw diet, additional nutrition for active dogs, would be great for puppies (I wish it was available when I had my chinese crested litter!). My dogs are already in a frenzy at feeding time, but with this added to their diet they really go crazy!! I have 1 chinese crested and 3 long coat chihuahuas--my dogs run agility and have showed in conformation. This product makes traveling and food prep/storage much easier. Most importantly, I love that it is grain free, easy to digest, and reasonably affordable for feeding small dogs. However, it would be pricy for giant breeds or multiple large dogs. I'm also hoping they come out with some more varieties in the protein sources--Turkey is great b/c my dogs' staple meat is chicken or duck necks, but it would be even better if they offered a duck, lamb, beef, bison, rabbit, or venison formula. Variety is key when feeding raw and this product helps increase variety when feeding a strictly raw diet. I'm very happy with the product. I can't wait to see if their skin and coats get even better. I also think adding this product keeps the dogs feeling more "full" since it does have veggies in it. A+ from us!

Very good product, but not as good as raw frozen diet currently feeding. Single protein (turkey) does not allow for rotational diet. Cost would be prohibitive for a large dog consuming 2 pounds+ per day.

My wirefox is 10 and suffers from allergies. She seems to really like this food. I phased it in over a two week period w/Natural Balance turkey and sweet potato dry food. The only con seems to be a softer, sometimes runny stool.

Only Natural Pet Store Response:The stool change is likely temporary, as it happens with most food transitions. Soo you should notice your pet pooping less because they are absorbing more nutrients!

It took my two little dogs awhile to switch over to this food, but now they love it. The trick I've found is to not make it too runny; they like it a little firmer. The do tend to eat more often, but it seems to be o.k. they aren't gaining weight with it and seem all around to be happier dogs.

Great for camping/backpacking bec. it is lightweight and easy to pack and a breeze to prepare in the outback! Nothing is bad about this product. This raw-food alternative is a great offering. Our pup has been on a raw diet for several years. A vacation coming up meant that who ever watches over her would have to prepare the raw food for her which takes time and is a bit messy. Pre-bagging this in meal size portions and adding her dry supplements makes her care much easier.

I am considering also using this for those short trips where she is allowed to go in the car for a day or two.

About the only down side is the re-hydration time of 1/2 hour.

Only Natural Pet Store Response:Wow- what a great idea to break down portion sizes and include supplements for the caregiver- a stress free vacation for all! We are impressed!

My Dog Loves It, But....

My Maltese loves the food, which is a big change as she has had a life time of being a picky eater, I assume now that she was having trouble digesting the canned food with a heavy rice content. That said, she seemed to have lost weight on the recommended amount to feed and I had to up her meals to 3x a day as she is begging for food (something she never did before). I think perhaps more turkey in the mix might help to make the meal more filling.

Only Natural Pet Store Response:Fat is what satiates (not protein), perhaps try including an oil- great way to get healthy fats and EFA's to your animal!

The food is easy to prepare into a wholesome meal that my dog devours. He absolutely loves it. Now, each time he hears me taking out a bowl, he thinks I am preparing something for him. I would give the item 5 stars, were it not for two drawbacks: 1, the broccoli causes gas in the dog, and 2. my standard poodle eats 4.5 cups a day, meaning the bag does not last long.

Only Natural Pet Store Response:Broccoli can cause gas in some animals, especially if they were not eating veggies before. Try a probiotic!

My dog LOVES this food. I feed her a varied diet, nearly always homemade, including raw food. She seems to like this the best. She gobbles it up, licks the dish clean, and looks for more. This has lots of vegetables, which I wanted to increase in her diet. I hope Only Natural Pet makes another flavor for variety. The only con is that it takes 30 minutes to rehydrate, but my dog loves it so much, that is not a problem.

Only Natural Pet Store Response:We recommend maing enough for the next meal or day ahead! Once we empty the container we make the next batch so there is never any waiting!

My Lab, Dakota has allergies. He can no longer eat grains or yeast based food.. After he almost died from rabies shots, due to his allergy, I decided to take him off dog food, and go for the raw diet. It has only been a few weeks, but so far all is fine. I like the fact that it is fresh, because I make it each day, and easy to store. He loves the food, and I will let you know if his allergies return after three months on the food. Thank you.

This has got to be some of the best food I have used. The smell is wonderfully rich and the bags are stuffed with pieces of turkey you can actually see. Preparing this food is as easy as can be and requires no big planning or cooking. My 2 Chinese Cresteds and 1 Chihuahua get it straight. My Malinois, Boxer and Fila get some mixed in with their dry food. All eat every last bite and beg for more. Great product. Buy some!!!

I have two dogs, a pug and a min-pin. The pug has been on a raw diet since puppyhood, but we still had weight issues with him. I've noticed a definite improvement in his weight and energy level since starting him on this food. The min-pin was recently adopted from a rescue group. Her over-all muscle tone, energy, and appetite were poor. Her muscle tone, and energy have noticibly improved. And just watch her tear into her dinner. They both love this food and so do I!

I have an adult dog & a new puppy...I just scoop the right amount from the batch I made & I can give the puppy more gravy (because he loves it) and scoop less liquid for the adult that likes a different texture. I thought raw was easy, and this is even easier!
