I have a yorkie who has year round dry skin and I hate taking him to the vet and paying for pills and such that dont work I had to give him baths once a week and being a bather for a dog groomer isnt also fun to come home and wash your own dog! but the oatmeal shampoo I was using was making his fur look dingy after a week and he would smell real bad. After using Doc Ackermans and leaving it on for about 10 min like it recommends his fur was still soft, clean, and shiny after a week and it was very mild on his skin it even works for quick in and out baths. Overall this was a great buy!
My Border Collie Mix had bad dandruff problems -
one bath with this shampoo and it's gone
Shampoo is nice & creamy - leaves Lucy's coat shiny & clean. This was my 2nd purchase of the Oatmeal Shampoo & certainly helps to relieve her itchy skin. I'll definitely buy again.

Shampoo is rather thick and can be diluted down for easier application
This shampoo is super thick and rich lather. Great smell too! It helped to relieve some of my dog's itchiness. But I was hoping for a miracle cure and my dog's skin problem was not fully resolved. I will continue to purchase this product though for the cleaning and minimal skin relief. It is better than the Vet's recommended skin shampoo.
I used this as soon as it arrived, as we've tried everything to stop our 12 year old dogs excessive itching. We noticed immediately that it worked!(Thank God!)The only bad part is after about a week to 10 days I had to haul the 110 lb. old girl back into the tub, as she started itching again. It's a great product that was badly needed.I only wish it would last a little longer as it's tough on Stormy to be put in the tub every week. Not to mention it's hard on my back!

We have a small rat terrier that has SUPER sensitive skin and breaks out easily to different shampoos because they have so much fragrance and other irritants. This works great! His skin looks good afterwards and his coat is real soft and shiny. I liked that it was mostly 'natural' ingredients.
I have tried more than few "supposed to be all natural and organic, works great for your dog's irritating skin condition" good shampoos. However, this is the best product we have ever used so far. My thirteen year old dog loves it when I soak her in the bubble bath made from this shampoo. After the bath and wash, her fur gets so soft and smooth, no more itching and irritation at all. I am not sure what the difference is but this is the first shampoo that my dog doen't get crazy after the bath and run all around in our small apt. Perhaps it makes her relax because of the way she should take a bath (supposed to wash your dogs for 5 - 10 min for the best result and that's why I soak her in the bathtub). It works very gentle and the scene is so nice and natural too.
I use this product in conjunction with another homeopathic aid to help my dog with his yeast and allergy issues!! This product has helped speed up the process for relief for my dog!! I have been bathing him twice a week with this product for about 2 months now and my dog has been itching ALOT less, feels better and looks good!! I hope you keep this product in stock FOREVER!!! It really does wonders!!!
I began using this product on all the poodle rescues, grooming customers, and my show dogs.
My veterinarian and I tried several products to combat the dry skin itching my puppy had but nothing worked until I shampooed him with Doc Ack's Oatmeal Shampoo.
It is so gentle and soothing my puppy didn't mind another bath and I love the smell.
Love this shampoo. I have a dog with atopic (skin) allergies and this shampoo helps soothe his inflamed skin. It smells heavenly, like a mix of vanilla and oatmeal. Definitely follow the directions and keep on for at least 10 minutes for it to fully work.
I love this shampoo it left my puppies fur so soft. Also he has been scratching himself less.
So happy THanks!
Very pleasant oder and gentle on her skin.
seems to work! My dog seems soothed after his bath. We had a bout with ticks so..itching was intense. When we used the oatmeal shampoo...my dog was calmer.
We give our indoor Lab mix a bath approx. every 3-4 weeks, depending on the need. As a Lab, she is prone to skin allergies, although we try to combat this with her raw food diet and avoiding the ingredients she tested positive for on her allergy test. The colloidal shampoo doesn't eliminate itching, although it does tend to decrease it temporarily. Additionally, the ingredients are safe and medicinal.
This shampoo leaves no residue and it conditions as it cleans. There are no heavy, toxic perfumes either! Love it! I will get it again.
Bought this shampoo hoping it would do more than a regular shampoo. My dog has problems with excessively dry skin in late summer leading to excessive licking and scratching and odor. The shampoo helped minimally for a day or two. I had to resort to a prescription shampoo from my vet. Probably fine for regular use with no difficult skin problems.
My 3-year old border collie was experiencing dry skin and lots of itchiness. My veterinarian recommended that I bathe him with an oatmeal shampoo. I use Doc Ackerman's for his regular baths, approx once a month during the warmer months. After using the shampoo he has had less itching and he smells clean. The product is also very reasonably priced. I would most definitely recommend the product.
Shampoo is very soothing and smells nice. Its comforting to know the ingredients are all natural and come from a reputable source. Even though I couldn't keep it on her for the recommended length of time without her getting frustrated, it seemed to work great.
My Golden Retriever gets horrible skin allergies during the warm weather. This shampoo helps calm & heal her skin, & doesn't cause any irritation (that's a first!) It has a very nice smell-vanilla?- & rinses out easily. I left it on my dog for 10 minutes while I massaged it in. The results were GREAT- fluffy, clean hair & no itchies! I'll be trying more of Doc's items- I'm impressed.
I use to buy the grocery store stuff that claims it's made with oatmeal but look at the ingredients label and the main item is usually some form of alcohol. This stuff is what it says it is, and does what it says it does. No deception or misinformation, just a pure and safe shampoo.
All three of my dogs seem to relax and be soothed by this product, I'll never use anything else as long as Only Natural carries this.

Our Basset Hound has seasonal allergies and she can really flare up. Her skin gets red, raw, and irritated from all her itching. This product is truly effective- after her bath she's not itchy and the inflamed skin is gone. The BEST product I've seen.
Love this shampoo, I put my dog in the shower with me and lather him up really well, then I let it sit on his fur while I shower. Then I rinse it off, I had over 10 fleas that I could see go down the drain! It is really helping his skin, especially his hot spots from the flea bites. It smells good and leaves his coat soft and shinning.
It seemed to help on the first shampoo, my dog has some flaky skin despite using good food and fish oil.
I think this will help alot.
As an added bonus, NO doggie odor afterword! My house did not smell like wet dog for the first time ever after a bath! That alone is great!
I would definately recommend this.
My Golden Retriever had terrible hot spots this year and I was trying to control his discomfort and itching. I trimmed his hair short and used Doc Ackerman's Oatmeal Shampoo. Immediatedly after the bath, the spots were a little redder but they all calmed down when the dog was dry, the spots turned pink and he stopped itching. He was calmer and smelled good too.
I have long haired chihuahua's and I have been using this product for years. I would recommend this product for all canines who have dry and sensitive skin. My dogs do not scratch now, it is great.
My dog was constantly itching. I tried hot-spot medicine that didn't help. My Vet recommended I try an oatmeal-based shampoo to soothe his skin. This shampoo helped tremendously. He's stopped itching, he smells great for about a week and doesn't get stinky for about two, and after I bather him his fur is so soft and shiny.
