This product is amazing. I've used it for years on my dogs & cats, and given it to friends for their animals. It stops itching on contact, and lasts for hours. Not only do our pets appreciate it, but my husband and I have even used it on ourselves for itchy bug bites. It really works!

This is the only hot spot spray I'll use because I know it works, I'm comfortable with the ingrediants and I don't need to look at anything else. I've used it myself when I get bug bites and it immediately relieves the discomfort.I even use it as a foot bath for my dog when his feet are swollen from allergies and licking.

I purchased this product for my Son's Golden Retriever who was suffering terribly with hot spots. We applied the spray and it was almost immediate relief. It does not appear to bother the dog in any way. We would buy this product again and again.

I used the spray in the "groins" of my beagle's legs and "armpits" where she itches and has hot spots. This area has thin or little fur. Immediately after spraying she stopped licking and it seemed to stop the itching, soothe and satisfy her rather than the other sprays I have tried which just tasted bad so she would supposedly stop licking. These other sprays just frustrated her, so I am happy we finally found something that works. I now have 2 beagles with allergies, so I'm sure I will be back for more!

This product is absolutelyfabulous! My St. bernard had flea allergies and redness ,itching and pain associated with the allergy.. i sprayed this product on her and she fell asleep peacefully without anymore itching or inflamed areas ..I highly recommend this product to anyone who adores their pets!

the only thing is that it scares my cat when i go and spray it on the affected area.so i need to spray it in my hands first then apply it.

I inherited my mother's dog and he has skin allergies. He often chews his hind legs revealing hot spots. I spray the hot spots 1 to 2 times per day and they heal.

my westie had nasty hotspots, scaby smelly skin. nothing worked. i changed his diet, it got a little better. i bathed him twice a week with all natural shampoo with oatmeal, tea tree oil, and aloe vera. it all helped and so did this. it's great for those flare-ups. immediate relief. i did use this in combination with homeopet hotspots. if you really wanna nip skin problems in the butt, you gotta do it from the inside out and use a combination of products that work best for your pet and budget!

We have used this product for our boxer who gets into bushes ect while outside causing minor cuts and irritations to the skin. We use this for a short time and irritated areas heal very quickly.

This is great. My dog, Lucky was newly diagnosed with hypothyroidism. After starting on levothyroxin his skin became crusty and itchy. He scratched his neck raw before I got Dr. Akerman's hot spot spray. He is healing beautifully now. We weathered the storm and he is doing well with his levothyroxin.

My shep/dobie mix weighes 120lbs and has been tested for allergies. She is allergic to just about everything and gets monthly injections. She still has severe grass allergies and seems to be always hot. Hence, she has a tendency to get a lot of hot spots. If I don't keep daily track of her, she will break out with them. I have been using his product for several weeks in place of some OTC products I buy from local stores. It works so much faster and seems to be a more gentle product. It smells great too!

This is a great product - I tried two other brands before this one trying to find a product that would help with my dog's itching and hotspots. He has seasonal skin allergies and just chews his belly and legs raw. One product I tried supposedly had a "no lick" bitter taste which my dog apparently loved and licked it all off. This product goes on easy and my dog seems to really like me putting it on and he doesn't even bother to lick it at all. I apply it twice daily and it seems to work all through the night and pretty much all day so the dose really lasts.

I rescued an 11 yr. old male poodle who was terribly neglected and has so many problems and allergies. Your product took around 8 days to begin to work. It does work, however, I have to spray him sometimes 2X per day all over. He is just so miserable. Do you have anything else that might help him more. This is a very gentle formula, which I appreciate.

This stuff has changed our lives! I know that sounds dramatic, but it is true. Our small (9 lb.) peke-a-poo developes hot spots behind her ears after most groomings and even in between appointments in the summer when the air is moist. In the past, trying to clean the spots was pure misery for both parties with her shaking and crying and me feeling like the worst pet parent in the world. She has gotten so upset, that it has made her physically ill. Now all I can say is, "Thank you Doc Ackerman!!!"... The first time that I used this product on her (a cotton swab soaked with the product and then applied to the area), she immediately relaxed and even began to FALL ASLEEP as a I massaged it into her skin! I was so shocked and relieved that it almost brought me to tears. I am probably just an overly sensitive owner, but I am SO thankful for this product. It has changed the life of our sweet little dog!

I used this product when my Belgian Sheepdog developed a HUGE hot spot on his testicles and belly and the insides of both hind legs. He was miserable and crying in pain and discomfort. It was raw, red and oozing and crusty and the hair stuck to it. This product was the ONLY thing that helped him. I could see immediate results. The redness started to ease up and he immediately stopped crying after I sprayed it on. I only had to apply it a few times and it was healed up within three days!!! This stuff is amazing and I recommend it to all my friends with dogs. I use it whenever a hot spot comes up on any of my dogs and am always pleased with the results!!!

Every year, the blooming trees and grasses turn our happy go lucky boy into a sulky, moody, and miserable dog. His ears flare up, and, within a week of the first blooms, he has large bloody sores. When his ears are like this, he HATES to have anyone or anything near them. After five years of vet visits, I thought I'd never find anything that he would tolerate. Ackerman's is incredible. Rather than fighting me, he lays relaxed on his side with eyes closed and allows me to gently swab his ears. He even wags his tail when he smells the spray on the cotton swab!

The dog comes to me to get sprayed when I pick up the bottle. It's the only thing we've tried (and we have tried many) that works!
