I use this on my kitty that hates hates HATES having her teeth brushed and though she doesn't love this, the 3 sided brush is so much more effective, I know that we're getting her teeth a better cleaning with less time and struggle for the both of us. totally worth it!
I let our dogs taste the paste before brushing. Our almost 4 yr. old male Jack Russell Terrier let me brush his teeth without resistance from day one. Our almost 2 yr. old female Jack Russell resisted the first day. She saw how her brother behaved, and now it's even easier to brush her teeth. Our 4 month old PR Mutt who we adopted off the street resisted a little, but each day it becomes easier to brush her teeth. I put a rug on top of the washing machine and put each dog on it separately, which eliminates interference from those eagerly waiting their turns and puts the dog at the correct height for teeth and gum cleaning.
I wrap our 13 yr. old cat in a small towel, and then I brush her teeth while sitting on a bench.
It takes me under ten minutes to brush all four of our pets teeth. I also use the plaque remover in their water.
got this kit for both our dogs, but had to toss it b/c it is too awkward and difficult to use -- a regular (dog) toothbrush works far, far better. i even brought it up with a veterinary dentist (who gave us a demo on proper tooth-cleaning technique) and she advised that a regular toothbrush is best; for the rear molars, you actually want the dog to "chew" the bristles anyway, and this design prohibits them from doing that.
The concept is great...but it gags my cat when I brush the upper back teeth..where the tarter is located. Too large for his little teeth and mouth.
Also my cat likes chewing on the brush (hard) on his bottom teeth. So I cut the time short because the bristles begin falling out much sooner.I like the brush to last as long as the toothpaste tube.
Tooth brushing used to be my most dreaded grooming task before I found your style of toothbrush. Buddy, my yellow Lab, no longer resists his teeth brushings. Life is better! Thanks.
This is the first teeth brushing product that my dog accepts.

Brush head is too big for a cat's mouth. Makes it difficult to brush back molars without gaging cat. I would not recommend this product for cats. This would be a good product for large dogs.
Roxie loves the taste and looks forward to having her teeth brushed. The brush is long enough to comfortably get the very back teeth of my collie's long mouth.
My 13-year old Shih Tzu is very guarded when anything other than food or treats get close to his mouth. I was surprised as to his acceptance of the triple pet dental kit. It was a joy to brush his teeth without fighting.
