My 4 yr old golden retriever suffers from skin allergies and irritations all year long. I have tried many products, most of which he is allergic to. This product has cleared up his belly and underarm area, within a week. Amazing. Usually I have to take him to the vet for antibiotics, but this product has worked great.

Hi I adopted a tibetian spannial x shih tzu from the SPCA a year ago and found out he had bad allergies drove me mad and I felt so sorry for my wee fella. I took him to the vet he was put on antihistalone it helped a wee bit. I didn't want him on drugs so I searched the net, tried some then come across this. I have found it amazing my little Paulie now sleeps at night.He is happier and more energetic also thanks.

I recently purchased this product for the first time. Our 9 year old Westy has always had skin issues, however this year has been worse than ever. I was feeling desperate to find a way to avoid more antibiotics and cortisone. I started using this along with Pet Essentials, and switched to Evo pet food. His skin has improved substantially since I started these changes. I don't know for sure how much is due to Skin Balance, however I would not have expected to get such quick results from the other changes, and it is the only change that is specific to his skin problems.
It's very easy to administer. I give him one pill twice a day in his food.

I have been trying to treat our 3 year old Thai Ridgeback dog's skin problems since he was six months old. Since he only has one layer of fur, when he loses hair all that is left is skin. This product seems to make his coat shine and when he gets pimples they clear up faster.

I have a maltese that has really bad allergies - her skin is scabby and itchy and will bleed. I gave her 9 pills a day - this ran out before two weeks was up - then I discovered I was giving her the dosage for an adult as this can be taken by humans!! Was hard to get all nine pills down her a day - but my goodness!! her skin was greatly improved - I've ordered something a little easier to give her - but this gave her skin a hugh boost. Would recommend for any pet with bad skin or coat.

My maltese has bad skin allergie problems - I got this and in less than two weeks it was gone - however I did give her 9 pills a day - I believe after reading more carefully that dosage was for an adult human - she is only 7 #'s. That being said, her skin went from bad and cracked and bleeding to almost soft and crack - bleed free!! It worked wonders - was a little hard to get the 9 pills down each day - I did order a powder to put on her food - that might be a little easier to administer and not as costly - however these pills gave her skin a hugh boost - it was like a miricle to me!! I would recommend to anyone with a pet with bad skin problems - at least to jump start to better skin.

I must say that I wasn't exactly sure if this product was working, but I started my 2 year old itchy german shepherd on it a month ago. The bottle only lasted me approx. 15 days since I give him 3 in the morning and 3 in the evening. This however is the normal dosage for a large breed dog. After the 15 days, I noticed a significant decrease in his scratching. Then I ran out! I did notice the scratching returned, so I immediately ordered 2 more bottles! It does work, but it takes about 2 weeks before you noticed anything. Also, they say give in between meals, but I just put it in his food, so it is easier to administer and he doesn't even notice! Yes, I would recommend this to others and have already!

Product is not the easiest to administer by itself, but with pill pockets it's a breeze. Great for dogs with inhalant allergies and a wonderful alternative to prescription medications. Takes a little time for it to work, but in the end would not use anything else.

I loved that the product is natural, but it didn't seem to help Molly's itching and biting at her paws much at all, and I'm almost finished with the bottle.

I have a pit mix who had constant irritated hotspots along his ribs, stomach, arm pits, legs and feet. I had him allergy tested and he's allergic to dust, mold and pollen. I didn't want to give him steroids, and I tried several tinctures from a holistic vet, in addition to myriad topical applications. Skin Balance is the ONLY thing that works for him. It started working immediately and has held steady for 2 years now. He's especially bad in spring when things are in bloom, so I up the dosage. He's 70 pounds, and normally I give him 2 tablets on his morning feeding & one on his afternoon feeding. When the weather's cooler, I'll hold off on them for a week to recharge his system.

So far I have used this product for 2 months and it appears to be helping with my puggles skin problems. She has a very bad allergy to fleas and this seems to be helping to cleanse the system and heal up her skin. I will keep using it on a regular basis.

We have a 5 year old Golden Retreiver who about 4 years ago started getting hot spots on a regular basis. The constant scratching, licking and odor was horrible, but I was hesitant to put him on medications that are not healthy for him. After quite a bit of research online, at this site and the reviews, I tried it. Along with EVO grain-free dog food and the icelandic salmon oil, he's improved 95% in one month. Awesome!!!
I gave this product to my dog, who has severe allergies, for two months. I saw little, if any, improvement in her scratching. It did make her skin a little less dry, but it did not help with the itching.

Zepp my dog is allergic to fleas and has been allergy tested. Over the years of steroids, benedryl, natural foods etc it started to affect his liver. I was looking for something natural to offer him and give him some well needed relief which he hasnt gotten in years (hes 9). After 2 months of using this, 2 pills 2xs a day he got fur back on his belly! He hasnt had fur there in years! His dry skin is almost all gone, the skin around his nose which was always raw is almost healed too! His coat looks nice and shiny and I could not be more pleased. I ordered 2 bottles to start and just placed my order for 2 more. I was doubtful because nothing has ever seemed to work but you stick to it and let it build up in their system as directed and you will see results. So thank you, youve made my dog feel like he should - HEALTHY!

Skin Balance is a great supplement for my little Yorkie's Scratching and skin irritation. It has almost stopped her itching entirely. Its the only thing that I found that would give her any relief.
(and give me some sleep at night) I highly recommend this product. snd the good part.....its natural and safe.

I substitued this product for an expensive prescription from my vet that had a whole list of potentially harmful side effects. I find this product works at least as well for a fraction of the cost. My dog was constantly scratching and licking. With the prescription and now this medicine, he scratches almost never, and the licking has calmed down. The pills are about 1/3 the cost of the prescription and being 100% natural I no longer have to worry about side effects. I give my dog the pills in a piece of cheese and it's not hard to do at all.

I have a Great Dane puppy who was having horrible skin problems and inhalant allergies. While this product did help with the skin issues, he was still having problems with his nasal allergies. I am going to try a different product for those.
So, I think this product does work, but probably not on severe inhalant allergies.

I use this 3 times a day as recommended. I am on my 3rd order. My sister and I have 3 dogs between us and usually during flea season we have to take our Jack Russells to the vet for a cordezone shot to relief the itching and hot spots...not since we found Skin Balance. It works..I wouldn't be without it. I just put alittle peanut butter on the pill and Sugar takes it right down...no problem. It's cheaper and most important more healthier for your pet than injecting unneeded drugs in their systems.

I have a Mountain Feist who we rescued and discovered he has an allergic reaction to his yearly shots. The first year, I didn't figure out the cause, but the second year,the reaction was worse and he scratched and bit himself continuously. I tried several natural remedies, but nothing worked. I refused to take him to the vet because I had done that with a previous pet and they instantly gave her prednesone, it broke down her immune system and we had to put her to sleep. I told the vet that Scooby was allergic to his shots and the answer was, he couldn't be it must be something else. Upon desperation, I decided to try Skin Balance, it gave him relief but it was slow progress however, we were already at the point of 6 mos. of scratching, following the shots. But I stuck with it and finished the entire first bottle before his scratching completely ceased. I also gave him a Detoxifier. He's not scratched since. It's coming up again to shot time and I'll be taking him to a homopathic vet this time, but I will be keeping this product handy, just in case. Wish I had known about it for my precious Sheba. Excellent results!

My Jack Russell is always scrathing and itching. This herbal supplement works like a charm. He smells good, less scratching and I give one every morning. He will not eat hidden in food so you have to put it down his throat, but it really works!

I decided to try the herbal remedy based on feedback from other pet owners. Our Amstaf suffers every year with allergies - primarily itchy skin. She scratches till she has sores - even with taking her to the vet for the same problem every year we weren't able to come up with a long term solution. The herbs seem to be making a definite difference for her now.

My dog suffers from allergies every late summer-fall. Benadryl offers no relief. The only effective treatment in the past has been the steriod shots. I have been using Skin Balance for over 2 weeks with much success. The itching and skin redness have decreased. The tablet is easy to break in half (I have a small dog), and I crush it with a spoon and give it with butter (he has no teeth). He takes it with no problem. This product is worth a try to anyone that has a pet with allergies.

I've only been using this product for about a month, so, it may not have had time to help my dog. My dog weighs 44lbs and gets 2 pills in the morning and 3 pills at night. She has severe itching (mostly around her tail area). She'll chew/scratch so bad that her skin is red and raw and sometimes will bleed. I keep a cone on her so she can't hurt herself as badly...as soon as the cone comes off she still goes nuts and starts chewing right away. Since I still have 2 bottles of this left, I'm hoping it will begin working...

This is the first product to help my 5 year old Boxer. She has had atopic allergies since she was a baby. Benadryl and medications like that make her sick. Needless to say, I've tried everything out there to no avail. This took about eight to ten full days to really notice a difference, but by then the change was dramatic. Her paws that have been eaten raw for five years are now almost healed. She actually scratches less and less everyday. As a matter of fact, when I do see her scratch, its for just a second or two, not minutes. She also had one ear infection after another. We apparently said good-bye to those too. She has been on this about one month now, and I plan never to run out.

Even though it seemed to help somewhat, it is too difficult to administer. The pills are too big to expect the dog to eat them on their own, so I crushed them. They have a coating on them which makes this difficult.

I purchased Skin Balance for my 11 year old Lab who suffers from itchiness from early summer through fall. I previously tried a rather expensive product (not sold here) with no results. Tried this and at first didn't think it was helping, but after about a week on it she was itching significantly less, after two weeks, pretty much not at all. The only difficulty I found is the pills are very hard to break apart and crush, even with a pill crusher, and she is very difficult to pill so crushing is usually what I try to do. Once crushed, I had to hide them in just a tiny bit of food because it's supposed to be given between meals. The ingredients must be bitter because she rejected many efforts of trying to hide it in something. Smashed banana worked best. I would definitely recommend trying it for seasonal allergies. No side effects occurred when using it either. Costwise it is also quite reasonable.

So far, so good...these pills seem to be working fairly well for my long-haired dachshund who seems to be allergic to EVERYTHING! I mix the pills into his breakfast and dinner everyday and he eats them up. His skin has become less itchy and scaly. He seems to be doing better everyday. We'll see how the long term effects are! Good stuff! : )

We rescued a 2 year old, 60 pound boxer, a year ago. He had severe continuous itching. After our vet diagnosed skin allergies, we tried Benadryl and Prednisone, neither of which did anything to alleviate the itching. We are believers in natural preventative medicine so I started looking for a product that was natural and wouldn't cost an arm and a leg! I found this website with Skin Balance and bought a bottle. Within about 10 days, his itching totally stopped. I started him out at 3 tablets twice a day given in peanut butter. He is now maintaining on 1 tablet twice a day and doing great. Be patient and allow the herbal supplements to build up in their systems. The amount of time it will take to show good results will vary from dog to dog, just like it would with people. I have a blue pit with horrible skin allergies. His underbelly gets flaming red and he licks and scratches most of his waking hours. I tried several homeopathic tinctures and herbs (on which I spent hundreds of dollars) from a holistic vet, none of which worked. He's 68 pounds--I give him 2 pills 2x a day. And his redness is GONE! COMPLETELY. He scratches 90% less than he used to.

My dog had an allergic reaction to our Christmas tree 2 years ago. He started itching his chest so badly that all the hair was gone and his skin was broken and bleeding. Then the worst happened, his eyes almost literally popped out of his head. The vet determined that it was an allergic reaction. We got started right away on SKIN BALANCE, and we've never stopped! I didn't want to give my dog allergy shots, so if a few herbs and vitamins keep his symptoms under control, that makes him and me happy!! The other fantastic side effect is that he never needs a bath! People always comment on how good he smells, not musty like you would expect for a partially outside dog. This stuff smells & tastes BAD. There's no way to hide it in food & the pills are way too large to administer the usual way to a cat.The folks [...] say other cat owners have had success but I sure don't see how!It may work real well for dogs &/ or people but I couldn't even get it into my cat!

My pug is a paw licker. I have been giving him this product for about 2 weeks now. Although the licking hasn't stopped it has slowed down somewhat. I'm hoping after continued use that he will finally stop!

I have a 12 pound pomeranian that I give these too. I roll it in a little peanut butter and she gobbles it up. Her skin allergies seem to be gone. She used to stink like dirty wet socks 2 days after a bath and her bathing treatments quit working and she hates a bath. She was suppose to get one daily until it cleared up. This started working imediately!

I have been giving this product to my senior poodle for a little over two weeks now. While it seems to have reduced his biting his feet, I am not sure that it has really helped. I am giving him two tablets per day; he weighs about 23 lbs.

I have been giving Billy, my 6 year old Sheltie, these herbs for about 2 weeks. There has been considerably less scratching & biting especially in his base tail area. Giving herbs is a long-term responsibility. They do not work overnight, and need to be given every day for at least a few weeks, sometimes longer, to see effective results. Be patient.

My Golden Retriever has very itchy paws, chin, butt. Tried many vets, holistic, allopathic, and many remedies from prednisone (reluctantly) to specially blended Chinese herbs, sprays, shampoos, salves, you name it. Not a food allergy. Seems pollen related. This is the ONLY remedy that gives him real itch relief for any reasonable amount of time without side effects. He doesn't stay up all night chewing his feet, scratching his chin, rubbing his rear-end...and keeping me awake, too! Three tabs in the morning about an hour after breakfast and three in the evening about an hour after dinner does it! He's an 80lb. male...a real dollbaby...and eats the tabs right out of my hand!

Helped my birman/siamese female kitty (long silky hair) tremendously. She had been suffering from allergies and had licked, scratched large areas to baldness. Seemed to alleviate her symptoms well. Her coat grew back (over a few months) thick, glossy and fuller than we'd seen before. Pills (even cut in 1/2) are a bit large to administer but we made it work (lots of post-pill treats)
