I wanted a better, more natural alternative for my dog's seasonal grass allergies than the vet-prescribed prednisone. Last fall, we were giving her up to a full pill every day, and even then she licked her paw-pads until they were nearly raw. She's been on the Allergy Relief for about a month now, and so far we've been able to keep the prednisone to half a pill 3x/wk and she's not going crazy - she even has fur between her pads again! She still licks, but it's nothing like it used to be. We'll definitely continue using this product.
After about 2 weeks, I began to see some subtle improvements in my cat. There was less chewing & digging. I even saw some peach fuzz trying to fill in the bald areas.
Then...just as subtly, the product simply quit working. He's as bald & miserable as ever at this point.
This product was (at least in Skeeter's case) a disappointing waste of money.

At first we tried this in water, but found the
soy base separated from the other ingredients...
so we ended up sprinkling it in the dry food.
It seems to be helping {it's only been a week}
but it is working very slowly. The cat being
treated is over 12, so i imagine her own system
is processing this slowly too.
My Shihpoo has severe seasonal allergies, he chewed and scratched constantly, pulled clumps of hair out and got rashes.I only use natural food and medicine for my pets; I was afraid that I was going to have to get a cortizone shot or prescription food and medication from the vet because I couldnt find anything natural that would work. But luckily I found this and I will never go without Dr.Ackermans allergy relief powder. I highly recommend and suggest that you give it to your pet 3 times a day to so that it builds up in your pets system it works much quicker that way. It does takes about 2-3 weeks to work.
more effective if used before intense itching begins. I use it 5 days on - 2 days off all during our long allergy season.

This is a great product! I was using the Homeopet Skin & Itch relief, which also worked really well, I just thought it was not very cost effective. It's [$]for a tiny bottle. The bottle lasts a while, but I wanted to see if I could find something cheaper before I committed to ordering tiny bottles 2-3 at a time for my cat, for the rest of her life. This product works just as well, she is looking great, growing fur back in all of the places she licked it off, because of her allergies. I am so happy this helped me and my poor cat! The big canister lasts a long time, and I think it is a great deal for what you get. The only thing is that it is a little hard to administer, but I just mix it up with some canned cat food and she eats it right up! She doesn't even know she's getting medicine; she's the kind of cat who will NEVER do something if she knows you want her to do it. My vet gave me anti-histamine pills to see if it would help her, and they're sitting in the cabinet. When I tried to give it to her, even with a piller, she refused to swallow when we clamped her mouth shut, and the pill would just dissolve and get all drooled out. It was a nightmare for all of us! She's impossible to pill, so this is great!
I find this product lessens the effects of my huskies fall weed allergies. We live on acreage in the foothills, so he spends a lot of time outside and can't help but spend time in the weeds and native plants that are actively affecting some of us! He still itches, but it is much less, and he has not gotten so bad as to get the hot spots and sores that he has in the past. I mix it with a combination of his normal dry food and some canned food, since the remedy is a powdery substance, and he eats it right up. And licks the bowl. I have been able to avoid the steroid use I have had to use in the past. Buy lots! Big dogs go through this fairly quickly, and I think it's important to keep it in them once you start.
I was skeptical when I ordered the Ackerman's, but none of the traditional treatments for my cat's chronic nasal allergy/infection symptoms worked. We'd been living with it for over a year. Within about 2 weeks, our cat stopped sneezing chronically and at this point, she's nearly back to normal...grooming, playful and only sneezing once in a great while (and no snot!). Sherri is an angel and has been a great help to us as well.
My Cat just didn't like the taste,he wouldn't eat it in his food no matter how little I put in. I tried putting it in his water,he wouldn't drink it.Maybe if this was in a pill form, this just didn't work for me.

This product is great. Surprisingly enough, I saw results within the first week. My cat for the last 2 years has been losing her hair, and the doctor really doesn't know why, so he chucked it up to allegies. He has giving her shots, but it seemed the shots would not last as long. So I started hunting for a herbal remedy. I have tried 3 products before this one, and this is the only one that I have seen results from. It is also reasonable priced, and I can afford it. Thanks.
My 6 yr old Dachshund has allergies and developed an almost constant reverse sneeze and red tearing eyes. My veterinarian suggested Benadryl but I didn't want to drug her to treat her symptoms, I wanted something natural that would't affect her liver. This product has completely cleared up her symptoms. It's a miracle!
The relief formula was difficult because it was a powder. One dog did not like it (who needed it the most), while the other one did not mind. The big dog needed a lot of it and it did not last long. It did help relieve some of his itchiness.
2004, I adopted a 14-year-old long haired cat with allergies. The previous owners used monthly cortisone shots to keep it under control. I started giving her Doc Ackerman's Allergy Relief and the next day there was relief. The cat has NOT had to have a cortisone shot since!! Just this week, I've reduced the dosage from 1/2 tsp to a 1/4 tsp and she is doing just fine. It is totally awesome to know that she will have a few good years since now her liver does not have to deal with the cortisone. Thank you to Doc Ackerman for creating such a great product!!
