This did not work at all on my cat. In fact, her thyroid level increased.
I was using a vet prescribed medicine, but it just made him throw up the pill, and he wasn't getting any better. Now, he's back to his old mischievous self, gaining weight, and his hair is glossy again. It's easy to administer usually. Just pop it in, and hold his favorite hairball remedy in front of him. He can't resist it. Thanks.
My 11 year old cat tried methamazole after being diagnosed with the hyper-thyroid problem, and it caused her to scratch till she bled. The vet told me the scratching wasn't from the medicine, but I trusted my gut and took her off it. We didn't want to have the surgery because she is also having unexplained seizures. Doing my research I found this, and meanwhile she dropped down to 6 pounds. She has been taking this medicine for 4 weeks now and has already gained 2 pounds! She's calmer too, and it's such a relief to see her doing so MUCH better! Only thing is this week she started having a problem with some loose stools. Not sure if it is related. I look forward to the long term results. I wasn't able to give them to her on their own, but I get these pill pocket treats from my vet and she eats them with no problems. THANK YOU!!!
I was a little unsure about this product because of the comments about it being hard to administer, but have found that all I have to do is wrap the ball in a piece of processed cheese slice and she takes it NO PROBLEM!!!
The pills are difficult to give, so I decided to crush them and put into the wet food. Because they are round balls, crushing them was hard since they kept escaping from the bowl. I was told to use a sturdy garlic press to crush them first, then put into my bowl to crush. BRILLIANT!!!
I am just starting this medication-lasting about 23 days, so I'm not sold just yet about the results. I'll keep an update when I buy my next batch.
It was difficult and time consuming to crush up the tablets so I could get them into the cat's food (how else would you get these hard little round balls down your cat's throat?
I didn't see any difference. She still coughs and chokes and pukes because of her elevated T4 level - hyperthyroidism. I gave the recommended dosage and used the whole package.
The vet just about killed my 15 and a half year old cat after diagnosing her with hyperthyroidism. I did my web research and found your product and gave it a try. After vomiting 20 times in one day, she has now only vomited 4 times in four weeks!!! She has gained weight and is doing so much better- this is the Real Deal!!!!! Thank You Dr. Tse for doing a great job!!!!
Our 19 year old British Shorthair had lost a lot of weight and we were afraid she would pass away in a few more days. Since we are consumers of Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture for ourselves, I searched online for an herbal remedy for old cats with hyperthyroidism, and found these Thyroid Calming Pills. (We don't have a veterinary acupuncturist in our town). The description looked well worth a try, considering the stressful and dangerous western medical treatment options for this condition. The first morning after her first dose, she was already stronger and happier, and now three weeks later, she has gained back weight and looks great. We are very happy with this medicine.
My cat was experiencing weight loss and vomiting. Doctor said her thyroid condidtion did not require medication for the time being. Her blood levels were just above the point where she would need medical treatment. Constant vomiting caused her weight to drop to 8 pounds. This medication has eliminated most of the symptons caused by her thyroid.
This little ball is hard to give to a cat. It has no instruction on how we should give it. I had to grind the little round ball down to powder in order to give it. This is not worth the money or the hassle. stick with the liquid format of tapezoil.
I have been giving these herbs to my 20 year old cat for 3 months and have noticed a difference in her comfort level. She does not vomit any more and seems to have put on a little weight. She still has a healthy appetite. I cannot see any side effects to these herbs. Great product.
My 14 year old cat was diagnosed with hyper-thryroidism. He had the classic symptoms of throwing up, being way too active for his age, and drinking a lot of water. My vet gave me pills(methimazole/tapazole) to give him which turned him into a zombie. I reduced the dosage to 1/4 pill twice daily and he started to throw up again. I ordered this product prior to starting the tapazole treatment so I had it on hand and decided to try it. It's been three weeks and my cat has not thrown up except for the occasioinal hairball, His disposition is much calmer but not zombie-like. He also stopped tearing his fur out!
This supplement has really helped our 17-yr old cat regain some weight and he definately feels better. At his age, I really didn't want any drastic measures taken, and because the pills are small, it's easy to disguise the pills in food without having the hassle of trying to stick it in his mouth twice per day. I highly recommend this.
My cat of 14 years has suffered from hyperthyroidism and the associated symptoms of excessive thirst, vomiting, insatiable appetite and weight loss. After giving up on traditional thyroid medicine (that just made her drowzy) I found this product. After about 3 weeks of dosage with the herbs, she has gained a little weight, doesn't drink as much water and her appetite is back to normal. I crush two pills into her food in the a.m. and crush one into her food in the evening. The difference in her personality is quite amazing.

My older cat had thyroid problems which the Vet treated with expensive medication, which made her like a zombie, plus blood tests every 6 to 12 weeks which stressed out the cat. I didn't want to subject her to this stress and tried this wonderful product. While it says 2 or more per day, she gets one per day and has put on weight, is not hungry all the time and is once again her sweet, ornery self!
