I have 3 Pitbulls. I have purchased a number of different toys and balls and this is the ONLY one that lasts and lasts. Trust me, they try their best to destroy it. A big plus is that it floats. So anyone with a pool in the backyard and gets sick of trying to dig out other toys/balls.. this one is for you! It is the dogs' first choice and after this purchase, a couple years ago, this is my ONLY choice. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!
My dog LOVES playing fetch more than she likes to eat. She didn't really care for this ball. I have Chuck it! and I thought this would give her some extra challenge, with erratic bouncing. It doesn't really. The Chuck it! Ultraballs (the rubbery non-tennis ones) bounce better and for me, more erratically. Maybe my yard is too lumpy and it cancels out the unevenness of the ball? Maybe the little bit extra weight interferes with my limited throwing skills? I can confirm that it does fit in the Chuck it! thrower, although it is a tight fit, does not interfere with throwing it.
I have had this ball for about 1.5 y now. My dog seemed to like it okay at first. Her disinterest in this ball has grown over time. Sometimes if I throw it, she chases after to "fetch" it, but she will not bring it back to me. She will look around for a rubbery Chuck it! ball or a regular tennis ball and bring that back to me instead!
Like one of the other reviewers, my dog also likes to chew on balls. Tennis balls shredded within minutes, she chews the rubbery Chuck it balls like they are gum, some of them are starting to squeak and show some signs of destruction from her chewing on them, but she never really wanted to chew this one. I have no idea why she prefers others, maybe yours will like this, might be good to try if your dog doesn't like the rubbery Chuck it balls or is too hard on them. My dog likes Kong frisbee but not Kong chewing toy thing you put treats inside so it may be idiosyncratic texture issue.
It is my German Shepherd's favorite thing. She can chew it for a long time before it eventually becomes a smaller form of the original. It is great for throwing and retrieving. It floats in the pool so she can even retrieve it in the pool. NO other ball or toy has lasted more than five minutes with this very tough customer and I have tried them all.
Cute shape that my 10 pound dogs enjoy playing with! I love that it's toxin free...
Our chocolate lab had chewed up every toy we purchased. I was getting desperate, I found this toy over 1 year ago and it has lasted and is still in great shape. I don't know what it is made of but it bounces like a large superball and makes her run. She loves going outside to play and run. I use it for training, as she keeps her eyes literally on the ball at all times. She brings the ball with her everywhere when she is outside. I have to hide it once we come in or she would drop it on my foot to play. I wish there were more shapes of this for indoors.
The Zogoflex is great for dogs because it bounces in various ways. However, my dog is mostly indoors, and it's so heavy that it's loud and will make marks on the walls. You have to be careful where you throw it because it can knock things over very easily, and if someone stepped in the way, they'd likely get hurt. However, for outdoor use, it's great!

The large is too heavy and too big for my small dog and so she hasn't played with it. The smaller version might have worked out better but I was afraid it might have been a choke hazard so I got the large instead. On the positive size, it seems pretty tough with extra extra firm rubber. Because of its weight, I wouldn't recommend throwing it around in the house.

It is great toy to chew on but becareful playing fetch. It is a very hard toy and your dog could easily chip a tooth on it while trying to catch it.

My goldens love their Huck balls. They float, they are easy to throw, and they last forever. I recommend them to all my friends.
Within 15 minutes my 15 lb dog had chewed a chunk off the ball.
I have a rescued Golden Retriever who decided it would be GREAT FUN to take his Aqua Kong and go out in the yard and hide it. This way when he came back he could STEAL his older brother's, black lab,Aqua Kong and pretend it was his!!! Who says dogs can't reason!!! So I needed a solution and the HUCK BALL is PERFECT!!! I love it because McLeod knows that it is only his, I love it because his teeth chatter when he releases something and with the HUCK BALL I don't get accidently bitten like I do with other toys. I love it because it seems to be just the right weight to go thru the air without landing outside of the pool. I love it because it is easy to find when McLeod tries to hid it so no one can get it other than himself. I love it because it is made of recycled material. But most of all, I love it because McLeod loves it!!!

This ball is just plain fun. It takes crazy turns as it rolls across the floor and the large is a good size for a bigger dog -- bigger than a tennis ball. Our 1 1/2 year old Doberman got one after being spoiled with 3 Hurleys and the zogoflex frisbee. He loves to carry his Huck around the house and hasn't been able to destroy it in any way or shape! That's a definate plus in our book. We've been highly satisfied with all zogoflex products and recommend for anyone who has struggled to find durable toys for aggressive chewers. He's got two now!
this holds up to the teeth of my 1 year old puppy. He loves to chew and this is one tough toy.

I have a Rottweiler and a Pit Bull mix. They are both rough on their toys. This is the only ball I've purchased that was not killed within the first day of play that they also have lots of interest in! It is very durable, stands up to 'gumming', and it's irregularity in it's bounce keeps them very entertained. It is by far their favorite toy. Now if only there was a soccer ball sized one...!

I have an American Hairless Terrier that has destroyed every toy that I've ever bought for her. She even ate 3/4 of the toy made from fireman's hose. She's had this new ball for a few weeks and there isn't even a bite mark on it. It's a little heavy for inside tossing, but rolling it can keep her happy for hours.
