Think about it...this is the best, safest item for a chew. The danger threat is absent with the compressed rawhide: Real bones splinter and can pierce the intestines; regular rawhide chunks can cause blockage; too-hard synthetic bones can break a tooth; too chewable don't last. Negatives with those. This one is IT! None of the above! One thing: Supervise! Sometimes a layer will separate from the compressed rawhide and must be taken right away and discard that piece.

Longest lasting chew I've found. I use the 6.5 inch size for my big Lab and the Aussie who's a more aggressive chewer, the 4.5 for my Aussie with a softer mouth. But they trade off, once the chews are started and have gotten softer. They also bury them (buried treasure!) and dig them up later, then keep right on chewing. Hope these chews are always available !

My rescued Greyhound likes to chew on rawhide bones, and I've been buying pressed rawhide products for years; the 8" ones typically last 2 days at most. My dog's been gnawing on her first Castor & Pollux Wet Nose bone for 4 days now, and it's only half gone! It hasn't splintered like other brands do, or broken off into big chunks. This is a dense, solid product that has provided days of chewing activity for my dog and peace of mind for me.

This is the best bone I have found for chewing. It lasts a long time and does not flake off into tiny pieces. Because it lasts so long I store it loosely in a plastic bag. However the last batch I purchased molded within a weeek of my dog chewing it. Very disappointing and I had to throw it away!

These are the most long-lasting chews I've found. I was afraid, when I ordered them, that "pressed" rawhide meant bits of chopped rawhide pressed into a mold. But the "bone" consists of layers of solid rawhide in its sheet-like form, pressed into the shape of a bone.
My dogs are both about 23 lbs.; they get the 6.5" bones. I would say they last three or four times as long as a piece of regular rawhide.
The best part about them is that they are naturally processed (sun-dried). They don't have that awful chemical smell. My dogs love them and spend hours chewing just one.

Dogs need to chew and this rawhide bone really gives them a long time to satisfy that need. There's something about it that makes my dog treat it like a real bone. He tries to bury it to 'season' and retrieve it later. Nothing like a good 'chew' buried in some good dirt for the future!
I will buy this product over and over

My eight month old Golden Retriever loves to chew. I tried bully sticks, but he was able to swallow them almost whole. Not a good thing! These bones are perfect as they last and cannot be swallowed. He loves them and so do I!

This is a natural chew that lasts and lasts! However, my Scottie prefers the flavored bones (very spoiled). A bit of peanut butter helps.
