Even my spoiled rotten dog loves these.
By Happy Dog OwnerVerified Reviewer from NC on 7/1/2008
Pros:
Cleans Teeth, Digests Well, Doesn't stain, Lasts a bit longer, Tasty
Best Uses:
Everyday, Keeps dog busy
Describe Yourself:
Long-time Pet Owner
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My dog is pretty picky about what he'll chew and he loves these, in fact I've given them to friends dogs and have never met a dog who didn't love them.
They don't stain carpets or the fur on my dogs paws and mouth like some "beef basted" bones will.
Some of them smell bad but I just send my dogs outside with those, most of them don't have any odor.

My dog loves these!

Pros:
Cleans Teeth, Digests Well, Tasty
Best Uses:
Smaller Dogs, Special Reward
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

These treats are what my dog loves after a nice walk and I want him to settle down. He finds a special place and chews on the bully stick for about 15-30 minutes. Because these are all-natural, he doesn't have any problems with digesting them and seems to like the smoky taste.

Bully sticks for pups snack pleasure
By GingerVerified Purchaser from South Carolina on 5/12/2008
Pros:
Cleans Teeth, Digests Well, Entertaining
Cons:
Stinky
Best Uses:
Special Reward, Weekly
Describe Yourself:
Long-time Pet Owner
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Braided bully sticks are excellent choices for our small dogs for their chewing and entertainment pleasure of the evening - we limit their chew time to 30 minutes just before their bed time to give them a reward for their last outside trek for the evening; additionally, they take great pride in carrying their stick to their bed - kind of a "cigar and brandy" for the day's closure. We have had no choking incidents or constipation issues from the bones; we store the bones in a labeled zip lock bag in a wine cooler between chew times to prevent any bacteria growth. Bully sticks are stinky to humans - again, just like the nonsmoker of a cigar in the presence of the smoker.

I give my bullmastiff these after her bath..for reward for anyday good deeds. She loves the taste. Only request is that she takes them outside. A bit smelly that makes them all the better for her. problem is they dont last long enough for her. Will always try to have some on hand.

These are the only chew type treat that Rex really likes. Some of them have a bad smell but most of them don't. They don't last Rex a really long time, 5 inch ones last about 20 mins., but that's longer than anything else lasts. I think Red Barn is a trustworthy company, I used their dog food for a long time.

This has to be my dog's all time favorite chew! He use to be a fan of the regular bully sticks (not braided)- and then one day, he decided he didn't like those anymore; now he only likes the braided bullies. He loves them, I don't worry about him choking on them, swallowing them whole or hurting him, plus they help his gums/teeth. The braided bully sticks don't last near as long as the regular ones, so for those serious chewers get the regular- while the braided are probably better for smaller, older dogs or those who are just lazy, like mine.

This treat smells so bad that we only let her have it outside. It also gets slimy. It lasts through 2-3 chew sessions, so it's a good value.
