My dog has had a knee injury from being too rambunctious and has had to be given injections to help heal the joint. The vet recommended glucosamine as a preventative. Since she is only 16 lbs, we give her half of a Zuke's every day and she has had no recurrence of symptoms and we can resume her beloved game of fetch the ball--upstairs, downstairs, out in the field, 24/7 if she had her way! When I ask if she wants her "vitamins" the answer is always a big yes!
This is the ONLY way we've been successful in having our 8 year old Lab take Chondroitin, twice a day. She loves these things...if only they were cheaper!!
I use these treats in conjunction with the wood tornado toy. They fit nicely in the holes in the toy and my golden seems to enjoy them.
I got this for my pug and boxer- they both have hip and/or joint problems. My boxer cried every time she tried to sit or stand- I've been giving them Zukes Hip Action once a day and the boxer a second one in the evenings- significant improvement in both dogs!!! They love the treats too! I have to break it up for my pug so he doesnt choke, but they gobble these treats up! So much better than a pill- and they actually work- will be ordering lots more of these treats!!!
My rescued "mixed breed" dog started limping and the veterinarian suggested I give her glucosamine. I knew capsules or tablets wouldn't work very well and was pleased to find the Zuke's Hip Action. They have been a lifesaver for me as Gracie loves them and considers them a special treat. Her limping stopped after just two weeks of having one treat per day (she is 23 lbs.). I highly recommend this product and my veterinarian is now recommending it to other clients.
Takes about 1-2 months before you notice a significant improvement. After running out of Zuke's Hip Action treats for a couple months our dog was groaning as he lied down. My husband asked if I was giving him anything for his obvious joint pain. I then remembered that I had not been giving him these treats. After about 6 weeks on the treats our dog is playful again.
My 8 year old dog's hips seemed to be hurting him, I started feeding him Hip Action in both beef and chicken flavor, once a day, and his hips are now working fine. This was a g-dsend.
i have a 11 year old bulldog who was suffering from arthitis and a terrible time gettting around our house. after a few days of using the product she was much more mobile. I even stopped giving her remedal which had cost the price of 4 bags of hip action

Rhoda needs these supplements for joint support. Hip Action is the easiest way I have found to give her what she needs because she loves them!

Tasty supplement treat for everyday.
Having had primarily GSDs, I've always given my dogs glucosamine supplements at an early age to delay the onset of joint problems. But, recently a friend of mine asked about glucosamine for her 9 year-old Bernese, who has Lyme Disease, and has been having trouble getting up and down the stairs. Being a big Zukes fan, and knowing how well finicky dogs (like her Bernese) tend to respond to their treats, I immediately went for the Peanut Butter Hip Action.
All I can say is WOW! Not only did she gobble them up, but with only 4 treats per day, she's up and moving better than she was years ago! I've never gotten to see results on a older dog before, but there sure was progress here! I just wish they made a bigger bag. Needless to say, we're definitely on the "simplify life" program with this one.
My 12-year old Maltese Clarisse gets a 1/2 of one of these every night when we go to bed...this along with other joint supplements I have ordered from Only Natural Pet has improved her joint issues, and she LOVES this treat!
We live in the country and "receive" many "free" dogs. Zoe is one of them and is now nine (we think). She is a mix Rotwiller (sp?) and Blue Tick Hound. Her hips are really getting stiff due to age (she is little overweight too). After only about a week, I can tell the Zukes Hip Action has already started helping her-she is able to stand quickly and is running again. She looks forward to getting her daily dose. Only bad thing, the rest of the gang, wants one too.
I actually got this product for my brother's dog. She is in her early teens and is starting to slow down in her old age. They used to give her vitamin supplements with glucosamine, but she just stopped taking them after awhile. We knew she loved treats, so we figured this would be the perfect way to give her the glucosamine she needed and give her a good healthy treat at the same time. Sheena LOVES this product - and that should be testimonial enough!!! :-)
The best part is not only do my dogs love
them as treats but they are also rec'ing
health benefits as well
My very active 10 year old 50# lab-mix was limping on her front right leg & having a hard time getting up after laying down awhile. Vet diagnosed bursitis in her shoulder. A week on 2 aspirin per day didn't help much. A week on 2 Hip Action treats per day & no more limping!! She's now running, jumping & spinning when we play ball just like she used to! Started my 6 year old cocker-sheltie mix on 1 treat per day to head off any similar problems. They love these treats & never let me forget them after their meals. Highly recommend Hip Action treats for older, active dogs! :o}
The dogs like them, but with 2 ninety pound dogs I have to give them 6 chews per day. This depletes a 1 pound bag in a big hurry. The cost per bag is very high for big dogs. There should be a bigger bag at a lower per unit cost. I have to find another chewable source.
I used to give her liver flavored hip and joint pills that I had to put peanut butter on to get her to take them. She loves these and takes them like a real treat!!
We give our Malamute and shepherd Hip Action two soft treats every day and they are responding it to it beautifully. Our Malamute has severe hip displasia and she has a very difficult time walking and getting up. With the Hip action she is walking about two blocks instead of 1/2 block and she is getting up stairs and from a down postion much more easily. I recommend Hip Action to everyone whether or not your dog(s) has hip issues. And my dogs love the taste. They would eat the whole bag. I have no bad things to say about this product.
we use this product twice every day and he has great mobility because of it
i have a 14 yr old chow chow. glucosamine has helped with her arthritis. but this is the best way to get a fussy dog to take it. beef is her favorite.
This product really works on my 12 year old Papillon's arthritis. She is more active and playful when given these treats on a daily basis. Hope it works for your dog too.
My dogs truly love these and want more. I have dogs of all ages and ALL LOVE these .I need larger bags.
My dog has congenital hip dysplasia and we supplement her diet daily with glucosamine and chondrotin. She also has allergies to many foods, so we're particular about treats that she gets. We use the Zukes Hip Action before her evening meal and as occasional treats, which she loves. The treats are the right size and they have helped to maintain her hips in excellent condition . . . she's now 5 years old and still without major hip problems.
I have always been concerned that my Great Pyrenese would suffer from joint pain and decreasing flexibility causing her additional health problems. She is 9 years old and still very mobile -- which is great for a Giant Breed. I don't know if it's the "Hip Action" or luck, but I wouldn't dare take a chance!! I recommend them to everyone, especially those who have large or sporting breeds.
My dog would cry from arthritis every time she had to move. Now that she uses Zukes Hip Action every day she acts like a puppy again. People are amazed at the difference! She runs and jumps and just loves to play now.
THE KIDS WAIT VERY IMPATIENTLY TO GET THEIR AFTER DINNER TREAT!
We have two senior dogs that take high doses of Glucosamine and Chrondrotin. They'd much rather get it in Zuke's Treats than in a pill or powder.
Buddy won't eat any of those hard tablet glucosamine treats, and he refuses meals with powders mixed in. I couldn't figure out how to give him his glucosamine until we found HipAction. He gobbles these treats up and begs for more. What a find! My 10 year old dog is spry and happy. Gad Zukes!
My dog is almost 10 and has been taking the hip treats for just over a year. Before, she had trouble jumping on the bed and seemed to move slower. Now, she moves like a dog half her age!
