I have a young crippled cat who will actually eat (rather picky eater) these vitamins (But I can only give her 1/4 dose a day -- seems like it hurts her stomach if I give her more -- but I think she has major health problems other than lack of hip joints and mouth tumors). She gets around better and acts like she feels better since she's been taking these vitamins (September 2007), and the tumors in her mouth have decreased in size so they may have been related to a vitamin deficiency.
I have a grown cat who was wanting nothing to eat or drink but milk. Within two weeks of giving her these vitamins -- and she slurps them down like they're treats! -- she quit drinking so much milk and went back to eating catfood like she normally did -- I figure she needed something that was in the milk and not the catfood and the vitamins supply that.
These are the only two cats (out of 16) I have that will eat them and I figure they are the ones really needing the vitamins so it's good they will eat them. If the entire crew ate them, I'd definitely go broke buying things for cats!!!
I give these vitamins to two cats -- the others won't eat them (16 cats in residence) -- and those two are the ones really needing vitamins so that may be why they eat them. The older cat (12+) thinks they're treats -- have to make sure she gets just the recommended dosage. The younger cat (2+) has severe birth defects (no hip joints for one example), one of which must be an extremely irritable stomach because I can give her only one a day or she acts for several days as if her stomach is hurting -- however, the tumors in her mouth started getting smaller within a month after I started giving her the vitamins (October 2007).
These soft chew vitamins were readily accepted by my cat. However, I neglected to pay attention to the warning on the back (pets may think these are treats). I left the bag on the counter, and my cat got hold of it, tore it open, and ate about 30 of them! Needless to say, nasty diarrhea and vomiting followed. He was fine the next day, but keep the vitamins in a secure place!
The Nu-Cat Soft Chews are a big hit with my absolutely unbelievably stubborn and finnicky male Ragdoll - he wouldn't even eat vitamins hidden in tuna juice! My little girl Ragdoll would eat other vitamin brands (barely) - but she also LOVES these. THANK YOU so much for making an easy to administer, tasty vitamin for our babies! He eats these like they are treats!
As a daily treat to suppliment my guys.
I use one in the am and one in the pm to
make sure the boys are getting everything
they need to be healthy as possible.
I was worried about getting our cat to take these but when he hears the bottle shake he comes running. I have never found anything that he likes more than these. We noticed a difference in his coat and his energy within a couple days of giving them to him.
My senior cat detests the taste & won't eat
his food if applied to it. I bought what I
thought was a liquid to administer with an
eye dropper but discovered the nutrients
pack solidly in the bottom of the bottle
so only the oil is sucked up in the eye
dropper.
My cats are healthy, active and growing like weeds. As we all have learned, there probably isn't the most healthy stuff in pet food. With this product you at least know your animals are getting proper nutrition.
I bought these for the Mama Kat that adopted us and promptly had kittens. She was undernourished and shy...but she likes the taste of these and gets the full dosage daily. The baby gets 1/2 dose-and I think they're a quality product.
My 16 year old cat became ill last year. Along with antibiotics, I began giving him Nu-Cat vitamins. Since then he acts like a young cat again! He jumps, runs, purrs, and has a great appetite! Even before he was sick he would just lay around but now he jumps in the window and acts like a young cat again.
This product is great. My very stubborn 1+ year old cat would not eat anything that I gave her when we first got her. I started making her lean ground beef and brown rice and she loves it but I know that is not enough nutrients for her. This supplement is great. She doesn't even notice that I put it on her food and it's so easy to give to her. Excellent product. Thanks.
Our cat loves the way these vitamins taste; every time we open up a bottle of our own pills, she thinks we're opening up the Nu-Cat for her & starts climbing all over us! Our other two cats don't like the taste as treats, but we're going to crumble it into their food instead.
