Too high protein level for older dogs...

I've been trying grain-free kibble for a little while now, and this has the highest protein content that I've seen. Even higher than regular cat food, which is supposed to have a normally high protein content due to them being obligate carnivores. Dogs are not obligate so therefore do not require as high protein as cats. Also, for dogs with kidney problems this is not a suitable food due to the high protein. My middle to older aged Chihuahua rescue has constipation problems and he got really bad constipation on this food. Also his skin problems flared up until I took him off of this as well. My younger Chihuahua mix rescue has no problem on this food, however I probably won't be getting this again due to my other dog not tolerating it well.
